Legacy Farms Leisure Area

We had such a wonderful time in Liz’s RV! Our kids (ages 6, 4, and 1) absolutely loved getting to see and pet and feed all of the animals. Baby goat Smidge and corgis Harrison Ford and Princess Leia were adorable, the horses were gorgeous, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and Liz was friendly and helpful. Definitely do the farm orientation tour!! If you want to do something more city-like, Fayetteville is just half an hour drive away and has a darling downtown and an amazing (and free!) Airborne and Special Operations Museum. The kids are already asking if we can go back to Miss Liz’s farm again!

We had a wonderful stay! Liz is very accommodating and went above and beyond by giving us delicious cheese and jam fresh from their farm. The place is peaceful, relaxing, and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!

When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and got to see a 2 day old baby horse!!! Waking up to so many animals was also very fun and made for a great morning of pets and smiles. Would definitely come back!

We always love staying at Legacy Farms. It’s always a nice peaceful getaway, and allows us to reconnect with each other as a family. The kids love helping out on the farm, and spending time with the animals. As always, Liz and Tom are friendly and accommodating, and very patient!

Pastorally Idyllic

Liz’s property is a working horse farm. When I arrived, Tom, Liz’s husband, showed me around and I got a peek at a foal that was only 3 1/2 days old. The next day, young foal was running around with its mother. People occasionally come to ride the horses around the farm. They also have a pride of beautiful peafowl grazing the property, as well as a few dogs and uncounted cats. Liz and Tom are extremely friendly, but give guests respect for the rented space. The water hookup is very tasty well water. 120V plug accomodated me until I turned on the toaster oven when I blew the circuit breaker. I consider that my bad. Electric fences are rife, so watch your children and dogs! I would spend more time here if I could. Just about 30 minutes south of Fayetteville, and nearer to other amenities, I find it very convenient for groceries, the gym, home improvement store, hardware, etc. Five stars all the way!

A Wonderful Family Getaway!

Our stay On Liz's land was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the friendly host made us feel right at home, with a gift bag of homemade goat cheese and strawberry jam. Their hospitality truly set the tone for our trip. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity for horse riding. The kids absolutely loved it, and it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. Additionally, we had the chance to feed the animals on the farm, which was delightful and educational experience for the little ones. Overall, Honeysuckle Alley is a family-friendly oasis that provides fun activities and a peaceful atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back and create more memories! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I loved staying here, I am an animal lover and this was heaven for me. Liz was a wonderful host and her property is beautiful, I will happily be back. It was so peaceful at night. If you love animals and don’t mind the sound of roosters crowing and horses neying, this is for you!

Felt very welcome, by Liz and all the farm critters, especially Molly the cat, who took a satisfying nap in the back of my truck! Loved the hospitality, fresh goat cheese and homemade grape jelly. A great stop, I’d stay here again, next time I’m “ passing through”

I really enjoyed my stay here! The horses, goats and farm fowl were great fun. Liz and her husband are great hosts, and Liz is highly knowledgeable about horses, goat products and jams and jellies. The primitive site with a platform was just right. Bathroom is in the barn tack room. It’s lively and fun. Give it a try!

Much better than a hotel

Wonderful farm and awesome hosts! I stayed 2 weeks while visiting my son. I was considering a hotel, but it was so much better to have a homey feeling place to hang out (kitchen, porch, animals, awesome host family, goat cheese and jam).

The farm is very nice. The camper had a lot be desired. The pictures are old and not updated. There was mold in the air conditioning ducts. The bathroom had a string sewer smell. The mattress was awful and had a huge dip in the middle. We did not shower or use the water.

Car Camping on a farm? The best

Liz was absolutely the best host! She met me to show me where to go with a little welcome basket. It was a lovely place to park and I felt safe. I even had a spot to charge my electronics which was a nice bonus. The showers were cold and refreshing. And getting to hear and see animals? The best! Thanks so much!

We loved it here! So many horses! Super nice and clean farm! The host Tom was met us with great hospitality , talked a lot about his life and farm animals. We loved everything including welcome busket with goodies, the spot was including electric hook up which we needed to charge our phones. The fire pit and grill was a great bonus too! Thank you a lot, we will back!

Exactly what we needed! Safe spot to overnight. The farm is lovely & a welcome change of pace from long hours driving on the 95. The hosts are wonderful & so kind. They went out of their way for us as we arrived later than planned. We got the full barn tour which included meeting & petting the goats & horses, and their dogs are just the sweetest! AND we were gifted homemade cheese, crackers, jam & bottles of water - which we promptly gobbled right down! Delicious. Great place. Great people. We'll be back for sure.

Baby animals and goat cheese!

Liz and family were so sweet and accomodated me on the platform site rather than having to set up on the ground. The platform is very very close to where I could park my car but also tucked away in a cute little nook of shrubs and trees. I managed to get my tent up right before a downpour! That was really nice. They shared their gifts of delicious goat cheese and blueberry jam and introduced the animals and all their personalities the next morning. I saw my first baby horse and the baby goats were just precious. Also kitties, doggies, ducks, geese, guineas, chickens, peacocks, mallards, and so many horses. Platform spot is a prime spot to hear the peepers and barred owls singing in the night. Also the roosters and turkeys :) Thank you!

The hosts were extremely nice and friendly. The husband cam out a greeted us. They gave us samples of homemade goat cheese, peach jelly and some crackers. We only had a teardrop so had to use the bathroom in the barn. It would have been nice to have a nicer bathroom and hot shower but for the money is a nice place. We enjoyed the horses and animals on the farm. We came to visit family near by so did get to spend a lot of time there.

My friend and I really enjoyed staying here . Tom and Liz are excellent host their farm feels like home. It was a lovely weekend. Looking forward to staying there again. 10/10 well recommended to anyone. Thank you Liz and Tom for the best weekend on a long time.

Rustic camping on a beautiful farm!

I was greeted upon arrival by Liz's husband with a basket of homemade goat cheese and apple butter - what a treat! The farm is beautiful, full of happy animals. The camping area has a tent platform, grill, even a fire pit. And the outdoor shower was so refreshing - open to the trees with the morning sunlight. Would definitely stay again!

It was a wonderful stay on a beautiful farm. Ducks, goats, horses, oh my. Liz's goat cheese and apple butter was delicious. The sounds, smells and sights of the farm took me back to my childhood.
