Peaceful Lake Camping
We enjoyed our stay and the host was very responsive and accommodating. The location was easy to find and the lake views were amazing. The site is probably best for an RV or camper but there is a nice flat area right next to the lake for even the largest tent. The only negative is it’s not very private with surrounding houses but certainly better than most State park sites that are on top of each other.

Fine, but wouldn’t recommend.
This spot was fine. What I don’t think the pictures show is that this camp spot is basically in someone’s side yard with houses all around. Yes, the lake is beautiful and it’s quiet. But it’s not very private. You get 2 chairs, a concrete slab, a portable fire pit, places for a tent, and access to the lake. That’s it. There are houses/ people/ cars around. Overall, it’s fine if you don’t need much. But there are better places in the area even for that. I wouldn’t come here again, and I wouldn’t recommend to a friend. Still, it’s fun to camp and wake up next to the lake. Maybe this is on me for not reading more reviews or looking closely at the pictures. Not accusing anyone of being intentionally misleading, but this spot isn’t worth the money.

Great spot that’s not far from Raleigh or Greensboro, and right on a beautiful lake! Make sure to turn left immediately next to the larger closed gates (second road turnoff)! Fire pit and a couple of chairs are there! Only thing was certain houses being a little closer to the site than usual. Other than that no complaints, hosts are great!

The site has a beautiful view of the lake. We definitely enjoyed using our kayaks and easily able to launch them right from the site. Our unit is a bit larger than their typical guest but Rochelle helped us navigate to safely get on the site. Tents, Pop Ups, small Class C’s and Class B’s are better suited for this site. Boats can be launched from the marina which is only 5 minutes away.
