Peaceful, Shady, Water and Electric
As we entered the camp, we were able to find information about which tent sites were available to us posted outside of the office. It was a little confusing finding the sites (we arrived after hours- 6pm). We were also not given the WiFi information, so we asked around. Someone who worked there was kind enough to provide us with the password, however, it did not work, and the Wifi was unavailable unless we created an account.
It was nice having a water spigot right on our tent site! The shared bathrooms were also not too far from the tent area, and but maybe a bit far if it’s the middle of the night. There were showers available, though we did not use them. The place was pretty poppin so it’s a great spot if you want to be around other people! V convenient for entering Great Smoky Mountains through the Oconluftee entrance in the AM :)

It’s a campground/unexpected
It’s a campground, and wasn’t what I was expecting. We arrived late and woke up early. Campsite 3 was hard to find in the dark...but once we pulled up the map, we found it. Lots of RV’s and the campsites were close together, not much space at all. If you’re looking for more primitive camping and more privacy, look elsewhere.

Peaceful, Shady, Water and Electric
Cool campground! The site has great views and a lot of shade. This particular spot was amongst RVs and still felt comfortable tent camping. The campground was well maintained with clean bathrooms. There’s a cool little civil war era cemetery at the top of the hill on the property.

All you need for a low, low price
Cindy was incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when someone was at the site assigned to us when we arrived. The folks at the campground were friendly, the staff was terrific. Our daughters loved the game room. The camp store had a number of items we needed which was a mercy. The place is a little rough around the edges in some ways but it has WiFi, bathhouses, laundry, water and electric, lots of trees, all for $25 a night.

Enjoyable
The campground was convenient to any areas on the east side of the Smokies. The site included water and electric at no extra charge. For a little inside fun Cherokee Casino is minutes away. Bathhouse is clean and camp store is convenient for provisions. I’ll look forward to staying again.
