This is a fantastic Hipcamp. The deck over a small creek was our favorite part...lots of hummingbird action! The hosts, Sue & Roy helped us park and were super friendly and helpful in pointing us in good directions for local trails & swimming spots. We hope to be back soon!

Great spot to "Get Away". I would suggest that if you are a novice at pulling a trailer you select a different spot. Road is narrow and winding. I also suggest you approach from the southwest so you are facing the right direction to back in and to avoid having to turn around. If you come from the other direction, there is a church about 1/2 mile past the site that is small but should work to turn around.
We didn't have enough sewer hose to reach the drain as it is all the way in the back, but not a big issue for us. We arrived empty and were only there for 2 nights.

We enjoyed our stay. It was pretty quiet. Nobody bothered us. There is traffic on the road but you don't feel like people are looking at you. Not really any views like you would expect in the mountains, but the bubbling brook is relaxing to sit beside. The road has wide shoulders so walking the dogs was easy as long as you don't mind uphill.

Nice vibe.
The road is pretty quiet -- way quieter than any campground. The neighborhood hound dogs do sing a lot -- till daddy gets home, so it's not a late night issue.
Comfortable seating. The good firewood is a very nice touch. I took down the motion detector light and put it back up before I left. But that's just a "me thing" -- I prefer to see the stars.
The hosts let us know they were available anytime, then gloriously left us alone. The situation was very private. No one driving by can see you tucked behind your camper, if you unhook and park your truck strategically.
The septic dump is all the way at the back of the site, so park and pack hose accordingly.
Thank you for sharing. We enjoyed being there and love to play in this area.

HAPPY HOLLER CREEKSIDE RV SITE
We love the location. In a few minutes you are downtown Bryson City and then you can retreat to the outskirts of woods and mountain scenery. Flyfishing was close as was NOC. Roy and Sue will always let you know what's going on locally for dinner, a drink or kayaking. We'll be back soon.

Great location close yo Bryson but you can step back away from it here. Good power and water and septic. We brought internet 5g tower from home and worked great. Roy and Sue are super friendly and we can't wait to rebook soon

Very nice spot and very quiet. Great for a couple or a small group. Roy was great when we arrived helping us get backed in and making sure we had everything we needed. Far enough away to be quiet and out of the way but close enough to all there is to do in and around Bryson City.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Happy Holler. It was very easy to back into the camping spot. And the location is beautiful! Located just outside of town, so it’s quiet, but close to the railroad and downtown. There is a covered deck where you can sit with a view of the woods and the creek that runs right through the backyard. Very dog friendly. Our hosts Sue and Roy gave us a few tips on what to do in the area, and their suggestions were spot on. Rafting, riding the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, bike riding the Tsali Bike Trail. There is so much to do just a short drive from Happy Holler! We will visit Bryson City again , and we will stay at the same camping spot.

HAPPY HOLLER CREEKSIDE RV SITE
Our stay at Happy Holler Creekside was wonderful! Roy met us to help back our trailer into our spot and gave us some firewood. There was a cute mason jar with fresh flowers and a peaceful creek in the background. We had a short drive to the Smoky Mountains for hiking and rafting and we watched fireflies at night while roasting marshmallows!

Great spot not too far from town but enough to feel more secluded. Plenty of space to set up camp right between a sweet creek and the road. Sue was a good communicator and very kind!

This is one of the best campsites/RV spots I've been to. The hosts were great, and helpful. The spot is level and has all hookups, if you need that. I'd highly recommend and will be back next time I'm passing though.

Great little spot, came after the Nantahala in our van, hookups worked well. We had just enough signal as well to set up a hotspot to watch a movie when it got dark. Fun little drive as well on the road where it’s located!

We loved camping at Happy Holler! We spent 2 nights while on a roadtrip across the country. The site was well-maintained and hookups easy to access- they have a motion light which helped us back in and setup when we arrived in the dark. Loved the added touch of the covered deck overlooking the creek (perfect for enjoying a morning coffee) and the fire pit with fire wood available. The area is so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Sue was great with communication- giving helpful directions to the property and checking in to make sure we were settled and comfortable. Roads in either way are a little narrow and curvy with the camper but manageable and so worth it to get to this site. We visited Smokey Mountain National Park which was about 45 min to the entrance and an hour and a half if going up towards Gatlinburg which we did and was a beautiful drive!

We loved our stay here! The site was cozy and peaceful with the sound of the creek flowing. It is the perfect distance from town. Roy and Sue were such nice hosts and always made sure that all our needs were met! We look forward to coming back soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Sue's place. It is close to the road, but there's hardly any traffic and with a sharp curve nearby they aren't going very fast. A covered "deck" is right next to a small brook, and is a perfect place to relax, read a book, hang out, etc. And they have a small fire pit with an ample supply of firewood. Your GPS may give you some funny turns, so I would recommend texting or calling them for directions. Hooking up to power, water and tank dumps was easy. A very nice get-away!

What a great little spot! Close to everything but far away enough to experience some solitude. Roy and Ann were very cordial and dog friendly and the full hook ups were a definite plus. We asked if there was a place to shoot our pistols and they directed us to a spot on their property. I will stay there again on my next mountain adventure. Thanks

Great spot! It was quiet, overlooking a small creek. Right off the road, but the road has less traffic noise than your standard campground. Close to lots of outdoor activities. We appreciated the full hook ups and the level spot!

This was our first trip booking through Hipcamp. We had an amazing time. Our host was very easy to contact and was very accommodating for anything we might have needed. We loved the proximity to hiking and cool towns (Bryson City, Sylva, Franklin). We were in the area to hike in the Smokies and this was a good base camp for us. Sue was a great host and the site was easy to use.

The vibrations of the bubbling creek fill the whole camp as they rise up over the steep embankment that has a sweet loveseat time enjoy the creek sounds. It’s very serene and contemplative.
Sue and Roy were absolutely lovely and reached out to check on me after a day or so of rain.
A wonderful spot for a retreat. If your traveling with your dogs there are very limited areas for walking off leash, and lovely old growth forests for on leash walks. Thanks so much and see you again very soon.

My husband and I loved camping here! It was so beautiful and peaceful not being in a cramped and busy campground and yet so close to town should we need anything. Also just a short distance to Fontana Lake which was just gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the creek at night and watching for wildlife-it was like we were alone in the woods. Sue and Roy were super kind and helpful and certainly dog lovers! They treated us like family. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful spot and amazing hosts! We heard creek and owls and everything we wanted to do was so close! They treated our pup like she was their own! Our hosts went way above and beyond when I became ill as well! We are planning our fall trip and can’t wait!! Happy Holler is where to be!!!!
