Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

14’ wide by 70’ deep Boondock spots on top of a hillside. Easy and wide (40’ at street) access with a turnaround area at the end. Parking areas are stoned. Pull straight into parking site or turn around at the very top and pull down to back in from the drivers side. Reflectors marking spots in case of night time arrival. Less than two miles off Interstate 85 at exit 108, and 8 miles from Interstate 74/85 interchange. Wide open space with horses on back side of the land (please view from a distance since they are owned by the neighbor). Coffee shop and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. NC Zoo within 20 minutes away. Concord Mills Mall and Great Wolf Lodge within a 45 minute drive.Slip #1 is a boondock parking slip facing south with an overlook of Caraway Mountain. Guest may enjoy the grass strip towards the west of the gravel parking slip. There may be another guest within 60 feet as there are more boondock parking slips. However there are only three parking slips in total on the property. Guest are on a private hilltop behind other houses but out of view from houses and street. Quiet area with wildlife

I'm only saying all this so hopefully it will help Mark improve his camp sites. When it says green acres, it means it. It is just a gravel driveway that leads to the campsites and each campsite has a gravel drive of it's own and a piece of grass area to put your tent. There is lots of space though. To make it really successful each site needs at bare minimum, a picnic table or a couple chairs at it, a firepit, and some shade!! It's no fun waking up feeling like you're in an oven because the sun is blaring down onto your tent. But something to consider in the future, take that first old building on the left and turn it into a small bathhouse with a toilet, sink and shower. Nothing crazy, keep it simple.
