This site is located across the street from the French Broad Lower Site and is at a slightly higher elevation which rarely requires evacuation in flooding conditions. Residents using this pad also have access to the river down the steps of the pad across the street. However, like the French Broad Lower Site, you must go under a bridge that has only 13'3" clearance height. This is a back-in site, facing the river. There is a train that passes in the back, which adds to the historical and rustic vibe of this site; in fact, my grandfather was foreman building the railroad through the Hot Springs area. My husband and I have literally witnessed a bear floating down the river and getting out across the river, otters or maybe minks across the river, deer in the yard, and geese aplenty if that's your thing. There is a $100.00 a month cap on electricity for monthly renters.Marshall, NC is located 20 minutes north west of Asheville NC. It is close enough to Asheville to drive into town to get something to eat, or instead stay and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the local restaurants or bars of Marshall. There are so many things to appreciate in Marshall, from the historic old jail turned boutique hotel or the old historic cotton yarn mill renovated into a modern classic loft apartments and charming business space, or the island that hosts many and varied artists. This pad is ready for you to pull up and hook up and begin exploring the area. The abundant wildlife and aquatic life, the sound of the rolling river, and the charming nearby train will transport you to another and simpler time. We invite you to come and enjoy.
