Beautiful land with river access. Lots of space for tents. If you want to set up near the river there's plenty of space but be prepared to carry your gear.down a flight of stairs.
Matt was nice and notified us of a possible storm.
Bring earplugs as the road noise is pretty loud.
The river and the river access were my favorite.

Beautiful tent camping right on the river. Excellent unplug from the world and very secluded. Matt’s dog Ash is an absolute treat to play with as you unwind on the river. Would definitely recommend 4wd or AWD vehicle for exploring all the property.

Great location. Great stay. Amazing Trail leading to the camp site. A little more bugs here being the vegetation is a bit tighter; but if it's hot, you would wish for a shaded location. So have to weight it out.
HOST is very nice, made sure we were comfortable. Awsome guy. I do recommend.

I absolutely loved camping on Matt’s property! He was very kind, responsive, and informative with absolutely everything. I definitely see myself returning frequently for the beautiful views and the serene privacy. Highly recommend!! The information is not lying when they say you need a sure-footed car or something of the AWD sort, so keep that in mind when visiting!

We had a blast tent camping by the river here!! Very secluded and spacious. Our 4 year old little girl played her heart out in the river it is perfect for kids. We did some fishing and some exploring and campfire cooking, swinging in hammocks by the river it was truly awesome!! If you're looking for true tent camping, look no further than the river site!

Tent camping on Matt’s land was awesome! There was room to explore and he made sure we were all set with directions and everything we needed. The views were amazing. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle which is stated in the listing. We will definitely be back!

10/10. This was our second time camping at Matt's property. The first time we stayed by the river and this time we had a blast up on the top of the ridge with 4 people and our 2 dogs. Matt was super easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time.
We're looking forward to coming back!

I can't say enough about the river site on Matt's property. Absolutely stunning view and very secluded. It definitely needs a 4wd to access but is well worth it. Matt and his son Cole were excellent hosts, making sure I had everything I needed. Cole was gracious enough to have me up the hill for dinner one evening, an unforgettable meal of local wild game (smoked bear ribs, which was first for me). I dont think it said in the advertisement but there is a well kept bath house at the top of the hill if you need to use the facilities(I didn't actually have to dig any holes in the woods). I would definitely stay again.

Camping on Matt’s land was exactly what we were looking for. Primitive land along the river with private full access to fish and tube. Plenty of space to spread out multiple tents. Trees for hammocks.
As with the other reviews, AWD or FWD required. The VW Atlas handled it well, but wouldn’t recommend a low clearance crossover.
There is some road noise from the site, but it’s not overwhelming and the river drowned it out well. Highly recommended.

Great spot next to the river. We were able to fit 3 vehicles camping with roof top tents. There is a great flat spot closer to the water that had a fire pit and could fit several tent campers.

Absolutely beautiful spot. The owner is incredibly hilarious and beyond welcoming. Very impressive property that has views and feels very private and secure. Close enough to town to be convenient but quiet enough to be private.

Nice site. A lot of land from river to ridge top. Definitely need 4wd as the trails are pretty steep. Host met us at the bottom and gave us a tour. Afterwards, he gave us privacy and never saw him again, as it should be.
The trails are a little overgrown with weeds and branches. Most are avoidable. However, I did pick up some pinstripes and scratches on the way up.

This was a great campsite! Super shaded and right on the river. The access road definitely needs AWD or 4WD, we did just fine in a Rav4 and Crosstrek. Matt was great!

From the time of booking to the time we checked out, Matt was AMAZING!
Matt met us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the acres upon acres of beauty. Though we reserved a primitive campsite on the river, he shared with us his plans and envision of his property, hosting many like us, including yurts!
The site we booked was beautiful on the river. We slept so well with the sounds of the river in the background. We fished the Tuckaseegee river and even caught trout with sweet corn (Matt’s suggestion). Matt checked on us our second evening and invited us to view his lands most beautiful sunset.
I absolutely recommend this site! Despite the rain we encountered, it was worth every inch! 😊
We had no internet connection on our phones but we were able to makes calls and receive texts.
