Loved it! I like that site 3 was right behind the barn, made for good shade. Really liked hearing the water rushing the whole time. The whole time was overall a great experience

Overall we had a decent experience. The site itself was great. Next to a nice size stream with sounds of rising water, private and spacious. Unfortunately, we booked it under the assumption we’d be able to shower after hiking all day, however the shower head was broken off and water out of the remaining shower hose was pretty much a trickle. The first day we attempted to use the sink that did not work, which we later found a hose connected to pump outside. The porta potty has a ton of spiders but we understand that’s difficult to control out in the country but some may not feel comfortable going potty with spiders. We recommend the site as long as you’re prepared to use alternate bathing and toileting methods and screen shot the WiFi info prior to arriving as you’ll need to contact the caretaker and there’s no WiFi info posted on site.

Overall we had a good experience- the sites were on a beautiful creek and well-spaced, it’s a beautiful area and our kids enjoyed playing in the creek. The firewood for purchase on site was appreciated! We stayed over Memorial Day weekend 2025, and maybe this is unusual because it was a holiday weekend but there was no host on site and it showed- the porta potty needed service and had no toilet paper the two nights we were there. The shower and sink were also under repair and not functioning, though we appreciated that there was a potable water spigot. Twice, people arrived and said they’d booked a site on Airbnb or Hipcamp but it was taken already and since no one was there, they had to take another spot randomly, it seemed there were issues with booking. Lastly, the road up to the camp was closed but although we got a long instructional message prior to arrival, the road closure was not communicated until we reached out and they explained the way around, would suggest putting this in initial info. Be aware that there is a road that runs parallel to the creek, just on the other side of the creek from the campsites. It was closed to all but local traffic when we were there due to road damage, but I imagine when it’s open the road noise could be bothersome to some while camping.

Quiet, picture-esque campsite with shallow stream perfect for children to play. Well kept showers and outhouse. Caretaker is extremely friendly and generous. Would definitely recommend and will be back to camp again (or try out their cottages via Airbnb).

We loved tent camping at site 1! It was great to have the sounds of the river at night. The property is beautiful and the amenities were very nice & clean. Being close to Max Patch was a huge perk!

Lovely campsite on the creek! Our host came by and checked on us, he was very friendly and reminded us of all our available amenities. The port a poty was clean and well stocked with to & hand sanitizer. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!!

Excellent Private site! If you're an outdoor person you have got to check out this site! Extremely private, yes the store is 45 min away or hot springs is 25 min away. So take supplies.., site has an excellent shower, community kitchen sink , which was great for dishes. Mini hot plate and small fridge if needed. The creek is gorgeous , perfect for lil ones to play in! Boulders and water cascades... and the night sky! We watched turkeys fly in both days! Rob the caretaker is on point and very responsive!!! Best site I've been to , better than Cherokee and better than any of the other Hipcamp sites I been to! I love how the sites are not on top of each other! Be sure to check out their other accommodations as well!!! We will be back for sure!!!

We camped at Site 1 and had a great time! We definitely had the best spot for camping although we had the whole place all to ourselves. The creek was beautiful and lulled us to sleep. Ron delivered wood promptly and there were comfy chairs for us to use around the fire pit. The outdoor shower was great too and there’s even an outdoor kitchen to do dishes and such. Would absolutely stay here again!

My partner and I really enjoyed tent camping here! Great amenities like the outdoor barn shower, nighttime string lights above bathroom, fire starters at our fire pit, and the WiFi! Sleeping next to the creek was wonderful and we enjoyed the privacy that came with staying at site 1. Campsite was just a short 20 minute drive to Max Patch and perfect for our stay in the mountains.

Our family of five (my husband and I, one of our grown sons and 2 teenage daughters) slept pretty comfortably in the bell tent. We brought a cot for our son & a sleeping pad to extend the pads already there. There was quite a bit of rain off and on and Philip was very helpful and accommodating. The bell tent kept everything inside it dry. We hung out in it and played games when it was raining. The outdoor sink and mini-fridge, shower, and the port-a-potty were all covered, which was nice. The property is beautiful and we had a great time.

Gorgeous spot! The creek is mesmerizing and I spent most of my time reading and exploring by it. Campsites are set with two chairs and a great fire pit. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Outdoor shower is worth it alone but they have every amenity you could ask for. Great location for hiking in the area and it’s a beautiful drive to get there. Will be back when I get the chance!

I really like Creekside for camping. The sound of the water is soothing. It is beside a road but there isn’t a ton of traffic late at night. We stayed at Site 3. This was our second time. The reason we like site 3 is that if it rains, there is a barn you can set up under and you are close to the bathroom. Things to note about this site is that there is a chicken coup, and old pig pin (no longer in use) and the barn does give off snake vibes. There is not a rooster so no worries there. The bathroom, outdoor kitchen and shower are also located under the barn so there can be some foot traffic. Each site is along the creek. Site one is furthest away. There is a small cabin, and an old house you can reserve on the property as well. I do like that this property has a porta potty, outdoor shower (hot/cold), and an outdoor kitchen.

There’s a beautiful creek alongside the property that has great little swimming nooks as well as great fishing. There is also a hot/cold shower, small kitchen area, and bathroom. This was one of the most enjoyable spots to camp we’ve ever been to!

Wonderful location! Great easy access to the creek! Just what we were looking for with a toddler. Great trout fishing! Beautiful property. Campsites are next to eachother but spaced out well. No trees to allow privacy between sites but all other campers were respectful and friendly. Well cared for fire pits, hot shower and decent porta potties.

Beautiful location right along the creek! The campground was in between Max Patch and downtown Hot Springs so it was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. The campground was clean and well-maintained and check-in was seamless. Thank you for having us, Phillip!

Stunning

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PROPERTY!!!! We stayed in the Bell Tent on Philips property and had some great nights sleep each night. The sound of the creek running drowned out all the noise, right off the highway, but with little to no traffic on the highway the entire time. The fireflies and moon light lit up the place and made a very romantic evening. Robert, who lived on the property and took care of it was really nice and sweet. He made sure we had everything we needed for our camp out from the firewood and tinder all the way to the lighter and grill. If this property ever goes up for sale, I would GLADLY give 5/8ths of my liver and a kidney to have this experience everyday.

There were things I loved about this campsite (rented the dome tent with lovely cushy sleeping pads and a heater, there is a sink with running water, and the campsite host, Rob is super), and things I did not (the campsite IS next to a stream, but the stream is adjacent to the main road, the porta potty was pretty darn full, and there is really no where to take a walk from the site). It might be a great spot for other folks, but it wasn't a good fit for us.
