Welcome to our cozy A-frame cabin where you can enjoy nature while being close to downtown Oriental. Minutes from the village, this private and quiet camper’s cabin has a unique wing-wall feature that allows nearly all seasons stay. Enjoy a quick stay or have a few guests tent camp with you on the property. Sailors and hunters have just a short drive to all your local interest while enjoying complete privacy while you stay.This camping site is brand new and it offers an A-frame cabin with a full sized bed with a comfy mattress, a coffee bar that includes: water kettle, a French press, coffee, sugar and tea, a work space and an electric heater that helps to take the edge off in the colder nights and a big fan for the warmer months. Electricity is available, just be mindful of high voltage items while heater is running. NO bed linens and pillows provided. The wing-wall has an easy mechanism of opening and closing; use the cleat on the pole to tie it up. Be mindful of its weight and assist it with your hand as you pull it up. Outside, besides the tent camping area, guests have access to outdoor lighting, a picnic table, an outdoor kitchen, basic cooking items, a charcoal grill and a gas stove. There is a bathroom area behind the cabin with a refreshing shower (non heated water only) and a simple sawdust toilet. (Use sawdust to cover “your business” and keep any smells away. There are clean bags and sawdust in the table next to it, and toilet paper in the cabin). Outdoor camp sink for washing hands and dishes, Fire pit area with two Adirondack chairs, grate for fire pit. Please note - This is a guest maintained property; meaning we do not charge a cleaning fee unless needed and simply allow guests to quickly clean before leaving. A trash can is provided for any waste and a broom in the cabin under the bed if sweeping is needed.

Cozy hipcamp by the Neuse

Cozy A-Frame Camping Site

The Cozy A Frame lived up to its name for me during my solo senior kayak fishing trip to Oriental and the Neuse river. The little A frame gave me a neat little place to relax at night and watch the fire pit thru the clear side of the A frame. The high fenced in area was safe and plenty of room. The short drive into Oriental made this convenient . Thanks Travis !

Such a nice campsite the a frame is so cozy and it's a safe and cute area I liked having the fence divider. I'd definitely come back.

This place was great. If you’re a camper this is definitely for you if you want a nice little spot to stay at if you don’t want to use a tent lol.

Great little get away for a couple or couple of friends. Biked into Oriental where the town is quiet and super friendly. Awesome being able to see so many stars at night.

The cozy a frame was the perfect spot for my little weekend getaway — it was such a cute place to just relax, unwind and refuel in nature. The stars were incredible and, for the most part, I really felt quite alone in nature!
