Staying at their farm was a beautiful and delightful experience. Warm Welcome from Candace and Sequoia. The campsite has everything we needed for our little family, including our 20 months daughter: nice place to setup our tent (with an unobstructed and ideal view on the garden , the goats and ducks, etc.), compostable toilet, open kitchen (we love open kitchens), and fridge (actually it is more like a cold room, so very roomy) We stayed two nights and we really felt out-of-the-time during that time. We went for the day at the East LaPorte River Access Park, a family friendly spot along the Tuckasegee River and to the Bear Lake which is a true gem. We would have loved to enjoy stand paddleboarding on the Bear Lake but we did not try because it was pretty cold and windy when we were out there... next time! Before returning to the farm, we stopped at Sylva Historic Downtown and stopped by Guadalupe restaurant that we really recommend too (local food, local vibes)... Candace let us know later that she is selling her tomatoes there ! big thumbs up for Candace and family for the hard work and big heart they put in their place !
