Come and stay at our downstairs efficiency apartment near Lake Glenville with a beautiful mountain view. You are five minutes away from a beautiful public boat ramp for launching your boat, paddleboard or kayak, or you can swim at the public beach nearby. Enjoy the mountain air from your private covered porch, or sit out in the patio area and cook out on your charcoal grill and/or have a fire in the firepit each evening. Be sure to stay up past dark to see a spectacular firefly display in the mountain meadow. You are centrally located near Sapphire, Cashiers, Highlands, Sylva and Franklin NC. where there's lots of hiking and waterfalls close-by. The town of Cashiers is just 12 minutes away where you can pick up a few groceries. It also features lots of great dining. Be sure to visit Cashiers Village Green Nature Walk. There's always something fun going on. Canoe Cottage at Lake Glenville
The Canoe Cottage is a gem. The site offers a picturesque pastoral view overlooking rolling hills, a pond, a farm house, and a couple of sweet cows. In the morning, I would drink my coffee at the desk gazing out to this view. The space itself is very thoughtfully put together. Plenty of space, storage, and hot water in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, and has a full-size stove, refrigerator, double sink, and microwave. I won't even try to describe how comfortable the bed is - fantastic! The walls are covered in windows, so there is beautiful light that comes in and lots of green views, but privacy with the Roman blinds. Lisa and Lee are really lovely people. They were available and offered great information as needed. They have a sweet dog, Dolly, and they welcome dogs to stay. I had fun with my dog, hiking in the woods, paddling on the beautiful Lake Glenville a one-minute drive from the house, and playing with other dogs at two beautiful dog parks nearby. There's also a fire pit to relax by in the evenings. I felt that I had everything I needed during my stay, and the hosts were kind and respectful of my privacy. Very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. I will definitely return!
