Best farmstays: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
Blue Ridge Ranch, established in December of 2020, is located on 440 acres nestled between two mountain ridges in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property features an established pasture, mountain ridges, barns, and a homestead. In addition, the ranch is home to five ponds (some stocked and one trophy), more than a mile of trout streams, waterfalls, and hiking trails. Together, they provide the perfect foundation for the establishment of farming, livestock, camping, and community events. All profits of Blue Ridge Ranch go to Hope for His Children, Inc., a 501(c)(3) that conducts youth camps at the ranch. Tours of the ranch are available for $10/person (to offset fuel expense) and includes interaction with some farm animals. We pride ourselves in doing everything possible to help our guests have a great experience. We offer coffee during morning hours in our farm store! We are sorry, but we are not able to allow guests to bring ATV's and motorcycles to operate on the property. There are many acres of hay that we must protect and our agritourism insurer does not allow guests to operate ATV's and motorcycles on property.

Well kept property with plenty to do- trails, ponds, streams. Tent sites spaced out adequately. Very nice and helpful staff. Plan to go again in the future!

We loved camping in this special spot! The sites were spacious and next to a nice little stream. The composting outhouse was very clean and nice. The hosts were all kind and helpful, and we loved exploring the trails and seeing the animals. We will be back!

The campsite I didn’t know I needed
Blue Ridge Ranch is AMAZING! The sites are huge so your neighbors are not on top of each other. So much space to play and relax. And it’s absolutely beautiful! My soul needed the fresh and quiet mountain air and I feel rejuvenated. It’s operated by a fantastic couple, Troy and Nanette, and staff that are all so friendly and just all around good people. There are hiking trails and waterfalls. There are even spacious teepee sites that you can reserve instead of tent or RV camping. Close to many of the camp sites is a beach area along a river. Such a great spot to play and cool off! There are multiple ponds to fish from, as well as the river. Trout, bass and brim fishing. I really can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend.

Great Camping
Wonderful place to camp. We loved the seclusion of our boon docking site and the gorgeous scenery. We loved the farm animals, the farm fresh eggs and chicken, and the staff was so nice. Already booked our next trip this fall!

Great Camping for a Good Cause
Blue Ridge Ranch is a beautiful slice of heaven! We booked the Maple Creek Camp Ground, which overlooked a ridge line bordering the property. The campsite was amazing and the location was very peaceful and quiet. There are a lot of trails throughout the 440 acres that not only made for great hikes, but were also super convenient and accessible given we did not have to leave the property. The ranch foreman and the owner that we met showed great hospitality and were also super passionate about the property, the properties history and the properties mission of bettering young generations through faith based curriculum and activities. Would recommend to anyone.

Pristine Piece of Paradise
This place was absolutely gorgeous! I loved tent camping there with the rippling brook behind my campsite. The grounds were so well maintained and the portable restrooms were immaculate! The staff was friendly and great to work with. I was sad to leave and I can't wait to book my next trip back!!
