Welcome to the Blue Heart Sanctuary — A Sacred Refuge in Nature Tucked into 40 pristine acres in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Blue Heart Sanctuary invites you to unplug, unwind, and reconnect—with yourself, the Earth, and the quiet wisdom of nature. This is more than just a place to camp. It’s a heart-centered haven where the chaos of the world fades, and peace returns. Whether you're relaxing beside a koi pond, dipping your toes in a mountain stream, or wandering through forest trails lined with quartz and moss-covered stones, the land here holds you—gently, powerfully, and unconditionally. We are honored to share this sacred space with the Blue Heart Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit rescue that provides a loving home to farm and companion animals. Visitors are welcome to connect with these incredible beings and feel the healing presence of unconditional love. As stewards of this sacred Cherokee land, we honor all life. Sustainability, respect for wildlife, and a deep reverence for nature guide everything we do. Our guiding principle is Ahimsa—compassion and nonviolence in action toward all beings. Surrounded by a dense forest, this Sacred Cherokee land features 2 koi ponds, mountain streams, trails, mossy covered rocks and energy vortexes. This listing is for those who have their own tent and gear and are simply desiring a campsite here at this Peaceful Paradise. Presently, the restroom is a privy. Fresh mountain spring water is provided. Feel free to being empty water vessels and you're welcome to take some of this amazing, pure mountain water with you on your journey.

Nestled on 40 pristine acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, the Blue Heart Animal Sanctuary is a beacon of Love and Light and an oasis of Peace for All. Surrounded by a dense forest, this Sacred Cherokee land features 2 koi ponds, mountain streams, trails, mossy covered rocks and energy vortexes. This is a primitive cabin (no electric) that overlooks the koi ponds. It has a single bunk and futon. There is a surprisingly bright solar string lights that has a usb charging port. Presently, the restroom is a privy up the hill. Plenty of fresh mountain spring water provided during your stay. You're also welcome to bring any empty water vessels and take fresh water with you on your journey.

Amazing retreat! Beautiful views!

Tranquil Tent w/ Breathtaking Views

Everything was wonderful. The views are absolutely break taking. The accommodations warm, inviting, clean and everything you need for a glamping retreat. We learned so much about the animals and enjoyed their company. We learned so much from Amma also. We learned about animals and rescues of course. We also learned about plant life, spirituality and the land. She is a wonderful host, and excellent teacher, if you are interested in her knowledge of energy and the spiritual world. Thank you for a great experience! If you’ve never tried cacao, she makes excellent cacao and expertly leads the ceremony with deep knowledge and spiritual connection.

Bliss Bungalow:Serenity by a Stream

We recently stayed at a bungalow by a serene stream, and let me tell you, the views were absolutely stunning. The bungalow was incredibly spacious for the two of us, providing a comfortable retreat. We had the incredible chance to wander through the breathtaking sanctuary and observe the tranquil animals in their peaceful habitat. Amma went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home and had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Thanks to their warmth and attention to detail, my boyfriend and I had the perfect setting to celebrate our 6 year anniversary! It was a truly amazing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Cozy Cabin: Peaceful Haven

I absolutely loved staying at Cabin at the Koi ponds. Everything was as described and I felt at ease on her property. I fell in love with her donkey Astraya (which means star in Spanish) who followed me around. How cool is that?! Was my highlight of the weekend. I also enjoyed her sheep and goats. At the cabin I slept very well. There is also an electrical cord that has power and solar lights on the inside. I’m definitely staying again!!!!!
