Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Secluded primitive cabin overlooks private pond with fishing dock. The pond is stocked with small mouth bass, bream and catfish. Catch and release fishing only. Close to Linville Gorge, Lake James, and the Fonta Flora State Trail and craft brewery. After a day of hiking or mountain biking, relax on the porch swing in the serenity of the night air. It's the perfect spot for stargazing. This one room hand built cabin has everything you'll need to relax and get away from the daily grind. It's furnished with a full size bed. The cabin is surrounded by mature hard wood trees making it perfect for birding and spotting wildlife. Sit around the fire pit and make s'mores. If you're wanting more, there's a small charcoal grill (charcoal provided) for your grilling needs. Picnic table and chairs. The comfort station (outhouse) is located just steps from the cabin. It's equipped with sensor lights for your convenience. The cabin has no electricity or running water. A rain barrel for cleaning up is close by. There's a John Boat for pond excursions. Flotation devices are provided and must be worn. Play a game of corn hole or just relax in the hammock.Primitive hand built one room cabin with porch overlooking the pond.
