We loved our time at the "Aster" site! Starting right at check-in, it's clear that Mark and Esther are experts at making sure their guests are well taken care of. Everything was exactly as described on the hipcamp listing!
A few things to note:
-We stayed at the "Aster" site, which is the closest to the cars and bath house. While most of the sites here are very secluded, this one butts right up against the next campsite, with just a privacy fence between the two.
-Like they say on the listing, the drinking water is DELICIOUS.
-The best perk of this campground is the location, with so many amazing hikes and waterfalls nearby!
-This campsite does not have any trees strong enough to hang a hammock or a tarp.
-We came in the middle of several rainstorms, and the site does drain well. However, it's completely covered by trees, so it does not dry out in the humidity. I imagine that the picnic table will stay soaked for days after a big storm.
-Overall, I would recommend this spot if you want to stay close to the cars for easier load-in. You can see the parking lot from this spot, making it much easier to get everything to the site. However, every single other person will be walking right by the site every time they need the bathroom or their cars. For us, this was all hours of the night.

From the moment I reserved our spot thru our arrival and for the duration of our stay, our hosts were responsive, extremely helpful and available daily for any questions we might have needed answered. The campground is beautifully wooded, peaceful and great for the soul. In spite of some rain, we had a fabulous time and will definitely return in the future. Mark and Esther truly have a gem in this campground and have mastered the concept of hospitality.

We loved it!
This our second time staying in this cute cabin! It's just the right size!
Mark and Esther are super friendly and the cabin was super clean.

The hosts were accommodating pre-trip when I had to change my booking.
When I arrived, check in was easy, Mark provided maps and information on the camp and nearby attractions.
Camp was well maintained, bathrooms were clean, hot showers! Great Campground!

We loved camping with our travel trailer. All the sites are pull through so no backing up on steep mountain hills! They also offer a dump station which is pull through. We enjoyed the suggestions of places to eat and shop but especially loved the waterfall guide. Mark and Ester were easy to work with and truly seem to care for their campers.

The campground is very cute, well organized and in general kept it very well. Mark was super friendly and helpful with all the explanations regarding the campsite, facilities, things to do around, fire supplies, etc.. The bathrooms are very clean and all went pretty smooth. The gnome house is a great idea for those that want a camping experience, but don't feel like getting up there on a Friday afternoon and build a tent. Plus, if you bring a heater, you can stay warm even in the colder season. I would highly suggest this place, me, my husband and our 2 dogs had a lot of fun and the area is just perfect for an outdoor weekend, with all the waterfalls and events going on around Brevard.

It's a beautiful campsite! Extremely clean and the tent sites are all private with separation between. The on site trail is very nice too! Mark and Esther are incredibly nice and accommodating. They made sure everything was good for

The campground is very wooded and lush. It was well thought out and not commercial feeling at all. Esther and Mark do a beautiful job maintaining it. Very shaded. They are lovely, friendly and very organized . I will definitely be returning in the Spring. I will also add that in all my years of camping their bath house was spotless. My daughter and I loved it💗.

When’s the last time your camp hosts greeted you and remembered your name a week later?!? Absolutely amazing hosts at a quiet tucked away campground. A perfect spot for mountain bikers looking to go ride or hike in DuPont and visit Brevard.
Loved the pull through of #4. We will be back! Thanks for an awesome stay!

Tucked away with woodland pathways, the greenest moss I've ever seen, and wonderful attention to detail, this camp was extremely hospitable and had everything you could need. We had access to a clean and comfy bathhouse, laundry, and hiking paths. There are charming old swings, a horseshoe pit, and places to stop and meditate, all under the shade of beautiful trees. We were provided with easy-to-use maps of the local area, waterfall trails, and a guide to all the local restaurants, shops, and points of interest. It is obvious the caretakers love their property and have done a wonderful job curating it for guests. 5/5 stars recommend!

Really the coolest campground we’ve visited! The campsite felt private, the bathrooms were clean, and the hosts were nice folks. We enjoyed our time there and wish we’d gotten to stay longer.

We brought our teardrop camper, site was easy to level, conveniently located, and Esther was so helpful during our stay. There were lots of thoughtful touches (huge bonus points for free emergency tampons in the women’s restroom!), great info for nearby activities/food/etc. we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back.

This facility exceeds what you would expect with Hipcamp. Multiple sites, well laid out, shaded, spaced, and level sites. No bugs, but expect periodic rain showers since this is a temperate rain forest (no drainage issues). Keep your firewood covered. Mark and Esther were great hosts, there when you needed them but otherwise leaving you alone. I would definitely stay there again.

The hosts are very considerate and informative about their sites and nearby attractions. The entire camp is well maintained with a variety of settings (techno, cottages, and sites with tech-free, woodsy experience). The location has a nice bath house and a dishwashing station. The tech-free camp sites are a distance from the parking lot. They do provide wheelbarrows. Some campsites are closer to the parking lot than others and the further sites are a walk and downhill. It is not extremely far but just a warning that you cannot drive your car up to the camp site. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Ash Grove!

This was an amazing trip. Mark and Esther were very accommodating. They seemed to really care about our experience and offered suggestions of things to do on site as well as around town. The facilities are clean and very well organized. It was a great, quiet place to get away. The area around the campsite is beautiful. I would recommend for sure.

My friend and I came here to try and see the blue ghost fireflies and to celebrate his graduation and it was such the perfect getaway. The site was lovely and perfect for 2 people and made it feel like you were just surrounded by the forest. Mark and Esther were fantastic hosts and we would love to come back for our next visit.

Maypop as, well as the entire camp ground, was extremely well maintained. When you meet Mark you immediately know he takes great pride in his campground and it shows! The bath house and facilities were also well maintained. We will definitely be back.

Ash Grove was a great place for us to camp. The campground is wooded and we found the site just as advertised. Mark was especially nice and available. The bathroom/shower house was super clean and loved the hot water! Mark and Esther have taken time to type out directions and tips to area parks and waterfalls. Super helpful! Used this paper all week. Also, had listed area restaurants with recommendations which were spot on. Would definitely stay at Ash Grove again.

They were very good at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. We felt safe. The campground was beautiful, well kept and we look forward to coming back. This was by far the best camping experience we have had in the Carolinas so far. Thank you Esther and Mark!
