Reienna ids amazing and Araret River Campground is a wonderful, beautiful and friendly little community ~ we plan to be here for a few months. My cats are happier than ever ~ they love being outside and cuddle with us every night!

Ararat River Campground
Campground was great .. clean and quiet.. was tons of people there... some lived there ...showers and a potties that flushed ... would stay again

Was a solid experience overall. I had left my tent stakes at home and they hooked me up with a complete set. Camp was mostly quiet, though it also wasn’t full. A burn ban was in effect and every one was respecting that, which is also a plus.
Bathrooms were a mixed bag. Hot water reliable, but too hot. Design was nice and clearly new Toilet was good, but there was only one of them. Soap dispenser was out of soap. And they could do for a more powerful ventilation fan. Didn’t use the showers. Thh he e toilet and ventilation situation was fine as I was in late and out early, but I could see it getting gnarly on a busier weekend.
Will stay there againthough. The steam was nice and the crickets were peaceful. They had good burn barrels and picnic tables, plus great places for the tent. Lack of cellular reception was a bonus for me, as well.

It was good for an overnight, passing through. Clean bath house and showers. The nature trail was a plus . The aesthetics of the camping spots were the drawback for us- no trees and rough gravel, with tight spacing.

The good: Amenities are fantastic. Heater in the bathroom. Hot showers with great flow. Good WiFi. Nice sitting sites - if a little tightly spaced.
The Not so good: no TP in the fine bathroom while we were there. Lots of roosters cocking off starting at 3am. They were confused, clearly, but they overpowered even the generators of the rvs. There was also a raging fight between a couple in one of the RVs around 4am. Everyone in the park was awake for that. But they were relatively efficient and by 4:15 the screaming had stopped. None of this is really the fault of the campsite (except maybe the TP situation). But you should know what my experience was the one time I stayed there.

The area smelt like rotten trash. The toilet has no locking door, just a curtain in front of it. There was no TP. At 2am there was a truck that pulled in with extremely loud music then disappeared.
