We were welcomed by the sweetest woman ever during check in. I wish I had gotten her name, because she was lovely and deserves the proper recognition. She had prepared a map, highlighting the route to our campsite. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn and ended up getting lost. Thankfully a resident jumped on his 4 wheeler and lead us to our site. If you have a low car, be prepared as the trail to the campsites are a little rough.
Our site T05 was not directly on the pond, but rather across a gravel road from the pond. This was fine as the ground seemed more level, but something to keep in mind if you wanted to be right on the water.
Unfortunately it had been raining 3 weeks prior to our visit, and continued to rain while we were there, making parts of our campsite a big puddle of mud. But otherwise, the site was perfect. There was enough room for a Gazelle T4 Plus and Coleman 6 person and our kitchen set up. Just note, the toilets are not within walking distance, and the potable water is by the camp store - not on site.
The store was well-stocked, and the bathrooms well kept. And the playground and arcade were perfect to keep our niece entertained. There were many residents who enjoyed these areas and seemed like a very close knit group, giving a sense of community.
