Amazing property!! It was way cooler then I was expecting! Chris was incredibly nice and very accommodating! I will definitely be planning another trip!!

My wife and I had such a great weekend camping on this property. The site itself was beautiful and clean. Chris was a great host and was very accommodating. We spent the day in the water and let our dog roam free. He’s exhausted today!
Would definitely recommend staying here and we are excited to be able to come back!
Also would recommend stopping by to look at his pumpkin carvings! We bought a few on the way home.

Chris was quick to respond to my inquiry before booking the site. Everything is as advertised, and there were no surprises. He met us at the house and led us to the site with a tour of the area and the river. I really appreciated the laminated information packet inside the screen house. This has the best outhouse ever, so clean! We loved having a river for our dog to swim in, and the fire pit to warm us up and dry her off.

Everything about this camp was awesome. I liked the view of the water and accessing it was very easy. The lean-to and the outhouse were well kept. Accessing the campsite was a simple minute drive from the road, and you can park right next to the site. The view of the stars was awe-inspiring.
I will definitely be back and I’d recommend to all campers.

All in all great camp!
A secluded spot in the forest above the river.
nice fields and river access - was great fun to run around with the kids and dip in the river.
lean-to was great with the rainy night that we had.
Chris was nice and helpful.
only downside to take into account, is some amount of road noise from the nearby highway - not terrible, but there...

The Lean-To was perfect for two! I was nice, being so close to the creek. It was a bit noisy during the day with all the tubers floating by but come night it was peaceful.

The lean-to camp was awesome. Really pretty view of the creek and all you need for a camp. Brought 3 of my kids there for 3 nights. They loved it. And the ability to order firewood straight from the owner was a huge plus!! And it was right at the camp ready for us. No need to cart our own or try to find some on the way there. The land is perfect. Secluded enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but still close enough to civilization if you forgot something. I took the kids to the Herkimer Dimond Mines for a day. It's not to far away. The creek is beautiful. Chris was really helpful, explaining what we could do and where we could go. They had a map and info. Other than the Dimond mines, we pretty much stayed there the 3 days. We swam, kayaked and hiked all over the land. Chris even helped us jump start our van when I left some lights on too long. Chris is also very responsive through the app!! Which is a huge plus.

I highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway. Tucked back far enough from the road, it's incredibly quiet — you might hear the occasional car, but mostly just the sounds of nature. Just about 20 feet down a small hill, there’s a beautiful creek perfect for tubing, kayaking, or fishing. I especially suggest bringing a tube — you’ll see hundreds of others floating along and enjoying the water.
The owner has done a fantastic job maintaining plenty of tree coverage, giving each campsite a nice sense of privacy. The screen house was a great bonus — roomy enough for an air mattress and ideal for sleeping under the stars without the bugs. The owner is incredibly friendly, offers free firewood, and their family even sells fresh food from their farm. It all adds up to a relaxing and memorable camping experience.

What a great, relaxing place! Peaceful, relaxing, this place has it all. Can't wait to go back. A hint for anyone looking to book, make sure to forget your maple syrup and get some from the farm stand, DELICIOUS!!!

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Lean-to site, very private and quiet. Didn't hear or see anyone (besides Chris) the entire time. Took a quick hike down the switchback to the river, which was a little challenging not having proper hiking shoes on as we had to navigate off the trail to get to the river. Very buggy. Many areas were still pretty slick or at an incline, so be prepared. Chris supplied us with everything we could need for the fire, guest book and a list of close by attractions which was a nice touch.
Outhouse clean and well lit (window) but didn't need to use. Heard many coyotes semi close by for a good 10 minutes after a series of fireworks, that was a special treat. The only down side was the microstorm that ripped through there at 4am on Sunday morning. Waited for a clear moment and left quickly- up to over 40 trees (outside owner's property) totally uprooted , areas flooded. Apart from the storm, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely perfect!! Quiet, private, and safe. Beautiful trails, beautiful river location, immaculate lean to and outhouse. My dog and I loved it and can not wait to go back. Host is incredibly kind and accommodating.

Really great spot! Chris was very nice, and the campsite came with a lean-to, a fire pit, chairs, and an outhouse. There were also some trails to explore, a river to swim in, and a clearing that we used for tent camping and frisbee tossing. Overall, 5 stars! Would highly recommend.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The hosts met us at the front, told us about the history of the place and we're extremely hospitable and friendly. The camping site was very clean and well managed. Same to be said about the outhouse. Can't wait to get more time off and head back up there! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax and spend the night. We got to watch the fog roll in as the sun set and cooked dinner right on the fire!

The lean-to with firepit is positioned off an elevated bluff, under a stand of hemlock trees, overlooking the West Canada Creek. A nice wilderness type setting! The lean-to is spacious for 2 but might be tight for up to 4. That said however, there is a mowed meadow directly behind it and plenty of room for another tent or 2. The fire pit had a large removable cooking grate with grilling utensils provided that we cooked some nice steaks and potatoes on. Fished the river the next morning and caught a few trout. The site was everything we wanted and needed for a quick getaway. Chris and his wife were very accommodating. They also have a farm stand next to the barn and farmhouse with their local produce and products for sale. Excited to try some of their maple syrup I picked up there. Would definitely use this site in the future.

Chris prepared some firewood for us and brought a 5 gallon thermos of potable water.
The walk to the creek was a bit steep, but it was pleasant
It was rather wet, so there were plenty of mosquitoes.
Making food in the fire pit over the grill was awesome!!

I loved tent camping on Chris’s site. It was very peaceful, relaxing, and serene. Lots of birds and deer. Loved west Canada creek. He had alot of land, which was beautiful on its own. The lean to was clean and helpful when it rained. Loved the open field for my dogs to run and play. Chris was also extremely nice and accommodating. We really appreciated his generosity and warm welcome! Thanks for sharing your land for our memories Chris!

Chris and Heather were amazing hosts and the campsite was amazing and beautiful! We had car trouble and they were very kind and understanding. We would definitely go back (hopefully with no car issues next time!)

Great site, clean, private and very peaceful . Chris was a great host, great hospitality he provided us with the wood needed for few nights, outhouse was very clean and he even offered us a ride to and back from site if needed.

My family and I had a great time at West Canada Creek farm. When we arrived Chris met us and took us to our lean too and provided amazing hospitality. He brought us firewood, cardboard and even provided a few essentials at the camp. With 3 dogs, it was nice to find a place for them to roam free and not worry about another dog coming by the site. We look forward to going back soon.
