An amazing setting and well built little cabin! Jan was generous about letting my younger son and his friend camp out in the feild while the adults stayed in the comfortable cabin. If you plan on cooking with more than one pan, (pasta, rice, etc) maybe bring your own stuff. Jan was very nice to bring us an extra pot for cooking since there was only one supplied. Better yet, just plan on grilling on the Blackstone grill which we’d never had the good fortune of doing before this, but it’s a perfect accompaniment to the well appointed cabin. The land is incredibly beautiful and quiet and we’re only sorry we didn’t get a chance to see more of it while we were there. Next time we want to check out the farm and the livestock! Thanks for such a great family weekend!

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Jan’s property, despite the rain! She took us to the campsite and made us feel right at home. The campsite is awesome, big open sunny field all to ourselves. Beautiful mountain views and a sky full of stars. We will definitely be coming back!

The scenery beautiful and the shack is cozy with pretty much all the necessary appliances and refrigerator. The outhouse was very clean and there was free wood to use. Jan was very welcoming and kind. I would go there again and recommend the place to anyone getting away from a busy life.

What a special place. The shack sits right on the edge of some woods at the top of a hill overlooking a huge field and rolling hills. Jan came and greeted us in the morning and we shared some great conversation. It was so peaceful, quiet, full of solitude there, and the shack was perfect for two to feel cozy and spread out a bit. Thank you!

This is a wonderful shack with even better views. We loved letting the girls run in the hay field. Having the Blackstone really allows you to take advantage of cooking all of your food at the same time. Jan and Dennis were very welcoming in giving my girls a tour of the livestock and allowing us to get fresh cows milk right out of the bulk tank. 10/10 would recommend this experience.

This was our second time at the Shack, we really enjoyed this little cabin, the views are wonderful and the vibe of the place is awesome. This cabin has all what you need to getaway for a weekend.

The Shack
The Shack is settled overlooking a green, well maintained valley. With the loft mattress and futon, 4 of us were able to sleep comfortably. Stocked with dishes, cookware, simple fridge, and the propane flat grill, all you need to bring is your own food to cook. Up the hill just a short walk further, some produce was even sold for a steal so bring a few dollars to leave in the cash box to enjoy. Jan and her husband Dennis were kind and welcoming. We really appreciated how they took time out of their day to let us tour their barns, see the two day old calf, and share in storytelling and knowledge of their family owned dairy farm.
Looking for a peaceful escape, you’ll be sure to find kindness and calmness at the Shack.

The Shack was a perfect getaway. My dog loved the lawn, the kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Jan was easy to communicate and was very kind. Hope to return!

The Shack
What a slice of heaven! The view, sunset, and the stars were breath taking! This shack had a bunch of little amenities you needed for cooking! Microwave, mini fridge/freezer, keurig, and toaster. Also, hot water and shower! Our three dogs loved parading the fields. The black stone grill is a BONUS! We will be back again... if you are thinking about booking- DO IT!

The Shack was perfect for a couple and their dog (us)! We know it would be perfect for a small family and friends, too. So much room for our pup to run! We loved the flat top grill for cooking. Inside: The bed is up narrow stairs, and overlooks the futon and small kitchen area. It was found clean,
But you must remember...you are in a space on a farm! The shower is small, but it was nice to have for sure! Sitting out by the fire at night was relaxing. Wood was provided.
If you want room outside, this will work great! Bring your outdoor games, camp chairs, and blankets (to stargaze)!

The Shack
The Shack was a great place to stay! It is very clean, has a shower and kitchen sink with hot running water, a really cool live-edge table that folds up/down very easily, couch folds flat for bed, good bed in loft, electric heater to take the chill off at night, small refrigerator, all in a small cabin! The Shack has a great porch - has a large flat-top grill for cooking, and an awesome view of the mountains and it is perfect for star gazing!

The Shack was an exceptional spot to take a little break or get focused on something. VERY quiet, perfectly secluded, and there is plenty of power for whatever you may bring along. I wish we had stayed longer and were able to check out the farm/hillside more. The immediate area around the shack has fantastic views and is very close to the highest point on the hillside. BEAUTIFUL views of rolling hills, farms, and forest. Please support Jan and her beautiful farm, we need more realistically scaled farmers!!

Super beautiful landscape and the cabin itself was so cozy and clean! I especially loved the flattop grill for cooking everything at once!
Jan stopped in to say hello and we ended up chatting for a good while. She is very friendly and accommodating. It was very nice!
The dogs especially had a great time chasing each other through the fields. Jan also left a tennis ball which went a long way with the pups!
100% would book again! Can't wait!

The Shack
We had the best time at the cabin, the weather was perfect and the sky was insanely beautiful. We just sat outside all day and watched the dogs play. We lit a fire before sunset and watched the sun go down. The bed was very comfortable and the host was super friendly. We will definitely be back soon.

The Shack
The view at the site is fabulous. The land is huge and it feels like outside the crowded world. The cabin has almost everything you may need for the basic usage, and it amazingly even has a shower place inside! If you enjoy the quiet, natural life for a brief break, don’t hesitate, this is your choice!
