Immerse Yourself in Rustic Luxury - Unplug and Relax. Peaceful geo-dome situated along ravine with access to waterfalls and trails. Come escape to one of our Modern Geo-Domes located up on the Shawangunk Ridge in Gardiner, NY. This cozy, seasonal dome (HEAT + AC) is a part of The Awosting Club, which is a private wilderness reserve. Unplug, relax, unwind. Nestled in native blueberry bushes, high above a beautiful ravine and surrounded by pine trees. This Geo-Dome overlooks the Palmaghatt Kill Stream from its wide windows and beautiful deck. Equipped with a log queen bed, skylight above, super soft linens, cozy blankets, and a down comforter in the colder months. Included are towels, a mini fridge, bluetooth speaker, Keurig machine, coffee, charcoal grill, lantern, umbrellas, a mini library of books and 1 gallon drinking water. If you are coming as a family, one additional children's mattress on the floor may be added. Outside of your Geo-Dome you will find an amazing private fire pit, charcoal grill and hammock. Firewood bundles are available for purchase for $10 or you may bring your own. In addition, each site has an outhouse, which is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. A bit rustic, but there is no odor! Geo-Domes are a short 1 - 3 minute walk from parking. Please dress accordingly in colder months. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, racoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge. The Bradley family still maintain the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. If you are coming as a family, one additional children's mattress on the floor may be added. Outside of your Geo-Dome you will find an amazing private fire pit, charcoal grill and hammock. Firewood bundles are available for purchase for $10 or you may bring your own. In addition, each site has an outhouse, which is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. A bit rustic, but there is no odor! Geo-Domes are a short 1 - 3 minute walk from parking. Please dress accordingly in colder months. You will be greeted by our Host at the gate for check-in and guided to your site. Guest waivers to be completed at check-in. Our Geo-Domes are dog friendly and require a $75 pet fee. One dog maximum. No cats allowed.  You will have cellular service! There are miles of private trails for hiking with an amazing private waterfall as one of your destinations! We are adjacent to Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve (both a 20 minute drive to park entrance) which offer mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, rock scrambling, views of the Catskills and more! Just 20 minutes outside of the colorful and active town of New Paltz, NY with many options for dinning, shopping, and entertainment. Nature is calling! **History of The Awosting Club** In the mid 1950's John Atwater Bradley, then a graduate student, attended a conference in Cragsmoor, the site of a celebrated art colony not far from what is now the Awosting Reserve and The Awosting Club. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, raccoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge. The Bradley family still maintains the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. Bradley's daughter, Camilla, and her family are keeping the Awosting traditions alive by sprucing up the camp buildings and platforms while maintaining the trails that have been used for decades for outdoor adventures: from sleeping to eating to playing to communing with nature in all her glory. *Please note images of domes come from all available, as all are similar. Warm in winter

We only stayed for one night on our way from Maine to Pittsburgh but will definitely be back again. Amenities: With heating and insulation, the dome was perfect for a winter stay. The outhouse was extremely clean. And the dome was equipped with a small refrigerator. There’s also a swing inside the room which my partner weirdly loved. Vibe: Struck a nice balance between camping and glamping. You can still feel solitude and connection to nature while being warm and comfortable inside the dome. The Area: Only 15 minutes from East Trapps Trailhead. We brought our climbing shoes and did some low traverse bouldering. Would definitely recommend checking out the Gunks.

We loved coming to the GeO Dome for my husband & my first trip without our kids!!(sadly for us our kids are 14 & 10‼️😆) It’s such a beautiful place to hike we were the only people in the world 💖set on private property with lots of fun paths that lead to different waterfalls …it feels like minnewaska ‼️ ! It’s just so cozy inside of the domes !! this time we used the cute little electric fireplace which was beautiful & very romantic and the 🔥 fire pits are just so beautiful . You will never want the night to end 😁All the domes are set up so well ⭐️ 💜 Katie ❤️is a joy & always greets you with a loving smile & a ton of charisma & good ideas!! We got there late so we brought along snacks from , “ karma Road” (vegan food near by in new paltx ) although they installed cute little grills on each site which looked fun & very tempting to have a little BBQ ! The deck is my favorite spot too hang out & drink coffee on in the morning & then we hiked to the waterfall close by . The woods here are purely magical & the sound of the water gushing beneath you is always soothing to the soul . I think we found our happy place here @ the Geo Domes !! We look forward to many returns and to try it out in all kinds of weather 😍💖💕🙏thank you Katie for always making us feel So welcomed 🤩🥰❤️❌⭕️

Excellent stay at the geodome! Clean, quiet, and peaceful stay. Wood shaving for the outhouse worked great to prevent odor. State park nearby was very pretty. Would come back again. Our corgi loved it too!

This place is super cool. I was initially looking for something less expensive for an overnight with my 10 year old son as we were in the area for other reasons, but once I saw this I had to book it! In addition to the gorgeous setting and comfortable accommodations, the real value is that this sits on private land with numerous hiking trails - including the unbelievably amazing Atwater Falls - which you can’t access otherwise. This became part of the weekend experience vs a place to stay. One note is to check to ensure your dome has an outdoor shower (if you’re expecting one). I booked a dome that had it in the listing and then learned the night before we would not have one… fortunately Katie figured it all out for us and it was fine - but you may want to confirm. Happy glamping!

I had such a great experience at the geo-dome. It was so beautiful, bigger than expected and decorated beautifully. The AC was cold, fridge was cold, and Katie was very responsive. The outhouse was so clean, but the shower on our site was not working. They provided us a camp shower which was no issue for 1 night! Would recommend to any friends or family that want to get away for a night or two. Only 30 mins from New Paltz! Lots to do in the area.

A phenomenal glamping experience! Went with a few couples and we stayed in domes next to each other for a few days. Camilla the host and Katie th on-site manager were both extremely friendly and accommodating. The domes and surrounding areas are very well kept: clean, lots of amenities (mini fridge, lantern, umbrella, towels, extra blankets, heat/AC, electricity, paper towel, cleaning supplies, fire pit, picnic table), the outhouses are the cleanest we've used (cedar chips = no smell), and the nearby hiking trails offer lots of breathtaking options and views. Plus, several domes are dog -friendly! Will definitely be returning.

We had so much fun at the Awosting club. The geo-dome's are so comfortable and our dogs loved it. The hike to the waterfall was beautiful and it was so easy to cook amazing meals. Thank you so much for accommodating our group. Our group of four couples had a blast and it was a relaxing getaway.

You have to stay here. Beautiful solitude found in cozy domes! Peace quiet and all the amenities of of your apartment back home. I wish I had booked a second night and I'll be sure to on my next stay. Great staff, great location, even better memories.

The hiking trails on the property were fun! We went on a long hike and cooked dinner back at the geo dome. It was a chilly night so we very so happy that the dome had heating! The property was beautiful and Camilla was very friendly and accommodating.

The dome was amazing. Very clean and had everything that we would need inside, which made it even more comfortable. It rained the whole weekend for us so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoors as much as we would have liked, but now that only means we’ll be back again in the summer :)

We had a fantastic time @ the Geo~ Domes‼️‼️‼️The air conditioner came in quite handy😅 we had a heat wave & it felt like we were in a cool space ship it feels very clean & cozy❗️it was really nice to have a little fridge & the outhouse was an unexpected commodity (I did not expect to get my kids to use it 😅) SO clean & woodsy fresh! I put a string of battery operated firefly lights in it at night it stayed well lit for my 9 year old daughter but above all else Katie’s warm & informational meet & greet was the welcome wagon that set the path for all of this magical retreat 💙💚💕💖💛we had yet to explore upon our arrival 🥰 🙏my husband & I were celebrating our 23rd anniversary and the days leading up to it were filled with ideas changing & altering but the hike to the waterfall was gorgeous & the grounds are an infinity of majestic terrain and the sound of the rushing water behind our dome was so surreal & serene 🤩🥰Our fire pit was a lovely setting for my son to start feeling his independence while getting the fire started for us & we had a super lovely time just chatting around it & kids made hot dogs on the open fire :::: 🔥it was perfect :::::::: when the kids got bored & went into the dome to chill out my husband & I were able to chat around the fire 🔥 about how beautiful the setting was & planning our return 😍 This is camping 🏕️ at its finest hour We’ve been hiking in minnewaska state park for years ! So this was kind of felt like camping there 💕✨💚❌⭕️🙏🙏

Amazing Unique Stay Can't Be Missed

This was hands down the coolest HipCamp I've ever stayed at! The Awosting Club is on an insanely beautiful reserve that makes you feel truly comfortable and at home. The staff is remarkably friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The dome itself? Wow. Perched over a ravine with an epic view of the valley below. Warm and cozy, even in the middle of winter. Thoughtful touches...we wanted to move right in! It was hard to leave the next day. The hiking trails on the property were very well=kept, easily accessible, and enjoyable! All amenities were clean, well-stocked, and ready to use. We will DEFINITELY be back. Do yourself a favor and book this place...you won't regret it!

We absolutely loved staying at the geo dome at the Awostings Club. Camilla and the staff person who was our contact, Jennie, were both great. Jennie responded extremely quickly to any questions we had during our stay. The dome was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the camp area was beautiful and peaceful. Also, you can't miss doing the quick hike to the falls while you're there, absolutely worth it! When we stayed there, there was some construction going on down the hill, so there was some noise during the day, but other than that it was extremely serene. Would love to come back!

An absolute hidden gem! The property backs up directly to the state park and has numerous hiking trails within walking distance - so no worries about scrambling to find parking. So fun to stay in the dome; really enjoyed the thoughtful touches and the private waterfall on the property is simply stunning. 10/10 cannot recommend this experience enough!

Geo Dome Lovers!

The geo dome was out of this world. My friend and I hit it during late September and had the entire dome campsite to ourselves. It was extremely quiet, we felt like we were in our own world. It truly is a special place and one of a kind experience everyone should have. The dome itself was super cozy and warm. The fire pit was wonderful to gather around as the sun went down. And it was our first time using an out house but it was super clean and fun to go out to. We also used the outdoor shower and hiked to the water fall. Overall a 11/10 experience. Katie was also a friendly host for us by giving good directions and recommending the hoot owl for dinner. Definitely will be coming back here every year.

We had such a great time! Katie our host was amazing, she had big smile all the time. Quick response to our questions/request, and she even gave us marshmallows when we told her we forgot to grab some on the way. The dome was very clean, nicely furnished with little fridge. They provide you with portable lamp that you can use during night. There are indoor & outdoor hammock, and feels very tranquil overall. Bathroom was fine, it was the one that worried me the most but I felt comfortable using it. Actually, the wood shaves that you place after you "go" makes the bathroom smell woody. Overall, we had such a wonderful time. We are thinking of coming back soon to look at the foliage.

We had a great time on our return trip to the Geo-dome. This time, we made sure to also check out the falls trail on the property. Katie was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed having the chance to see one of the other sites available for booking (that deck view!) The surrounding area has so many good hikes and memorable views. Loved learning a little more about the background of the site! :)

This private property is amazing! There's a short hike that takes you to a private waterfall that's such a hidden gem. The dome that I stayed in had all of the essentials and included things that I didn't expect such as AC, a fridge, Bluetooth speaker, umbrellas and a lantern! The outhouse was very clean. It has an outdoor shower and comes with shampoo. The showers don't feel very private though. The domes are set up high along a stream so you can hear the water. The property is big, which allows you to explore around. It's such a neat place. What a hidden gem. The host was great. She was very communicative and showed me to my dome. She gave me clear instructions for where to go to see the waterfall. I highly recommend this spot even if you might not be the camping type. It has everything you need and more!

This property is a magical Eden. One of the quietest places we’ve been in the Catskills area. Gorgeous hiking right from the camp. The domes are way nicer than a glamping experience, and the individual camp site amenities (small fridge, the bed, shower, toilet, fire pit, deck) are outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone, and particularly for people easing in to camping.
