Terrace Farm is a multi-generation farm on 160 wooded acres of Tremper Mountain located on the outskirts of the Hamlet of Phoenicia in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. World class fly fishing on the Esopus Creek, private hiking trail to overlooks of the Esopus Valley and historic rock quarries as well as several public hiking trails including the Long Path are all within walking distance. Also located within walking distance is the Hamlet of Phoenicia. We have three sites available. Beechwood at Terrace Farm is the quietest and the most secluded. This will accommodate six guests. Maplewood at Terrace Farm can accommodate eight guests. The Hemlocks at Terrace Farm is our largest site and can handle twelve guests.

Secluded and quietest forest campsite on the side of Tremper Mt behind a working farm. Site is literally feet from public DEC protected Catskills wild forest property. There are also 110 acres of farm property to explore in back of the campsite with gorgeous views toward Phoenicia and the Panther Mt/ Slide Mt area. Many central Catskills trailheads are within a 5-20 min. drive from the campsite and it is just a short walk to the NYS Long Path as it traverses a section of CR Route 40 between the Tremper Mt trailhead and Romer Mt trailhead. Expanded private hiking trail to overlooks of the Esopus Valley and historic rock quarries. There is access to Esopus Creek fishing or kayaking from farm property. There is a private day use area next to the Esopus with a firepit for guests to use. The quaint little town of Phoenicia is about 1/4 mile from the campsite and Woodstock is a 20 min. drive. A bundle of firewood will be waiting at the campsite and feel free to use any deadwood you find around. Motorcycle, bicycle, and walk in campers from the Long Path are also welcome. What will make your trip even better: - Fresh free range organic chicken eggs for $4.50 a dozen are available at the farm. Subject to availability, ask about them at check in.  - There is a three person tent available for $35 and a six person tent available for $45 to rent if desired.  - There is also a 10x10 pop-up canopy available for $25 for those rainy days.  - Extra firewood bundles available at the farm for $7.00 a bundle.  - Also ask about free farm tours. Kids will enjoy meeting the animals(goats, horses, cows, chickens and livestock guardian dogs). Please note that for the safety of your pets and our livestock absolutely no pets are permitted to enter any pasture, barn yard or poultry yard on the property.

Loved the Beechwood Site!
Beechwood at Terrace Farm
We absolutely loved the Beechwood site!! It was private and well-maintained, complete with firewood, a clean outhouse with composting toilet, a really nice fire pit, and a container of non potable water. A few steps away from the hiking trail that led us to an amazing view at the lookout point, and there is a fresh spring at the base of the trail. Adele is a wonderful host, and her farm is truly beautiful. The 3 camp sites are spaced far apart in the woods behind the farm, and the Beechwood site in particular comfortably accommodates one large tent (there were two of us staying), and also has a picnic table with benches, and a wooden rocking chair by the fire. We had an awesome time, and we’ll will definitely be back!

We arrived after dark in the rain and Adele met us and guided us up to the camp site. Adele was very welcoming and helpful. The camp sites are extremely well kept. It was peaceful and beautiful and I would certainly come back again.

One of the best maintained and run camping sites I’ve ever been to via HipCamp. Adele and her daughter are responsive, accommodating and hard working. Beechwood site is remote, well maintained and a level area for your tent. The site is difficult to find in the dark so make sure to get assistance on your first visit.

The maple wood site was excellent. We had an out house right on site and firewood to start our fire! Saw two shooting stars our first night. I loved the hike to the esopus overlook we were able to access from the site - beautiful view! It was right next to Phoenicia and a short drive to Woodstock. I would certainly come here again to enjoy the foliage and have no service for the weekend. :)

I loved the seclusion of our camp site. It was a perfect way to unplug and reset. Adele was super helpful and very kind. The site had wood trapped and ready for us to burn, it was even better than the pictures. I took advantage of the little trail system to the side of the site and the views did not disappoint. I would absolutely come back any time!

Adele's property is nothing short of spectacular. The view from the overlook is gorgeous, and the recent addition of the Phoenicia town overlook is super cool! Her campsites are very well upkept. Her family was extremely inviting and friendly upon arrival. I cannot recommend staying at Adele's hipcamp enough! I will definitely be back!

I love this Hip Camp. It is private and so well kept. There is an awesome fire pit, a clean out house, a solid picnic table, a flat place for your tent, and probably other great aspects that I’m forgetting. I’ll be back.

The Hemlocks at Terrace Farm
My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here! The host was kind and helped us to our site. It felt plenty private and had a really cool layout. Multiple locations for tents and a great fire pit in the middle of it all. Highly recommend this site for groups of people. We had 7 people and it was plenty.

Maplewood at Terrace Farm
We really enjoyed our weekend at Terrace Farm. The Maplewood campsite was spacious and private, and it was great having a clean outhouse available to us at the campsite. It’s a short drive to town if you need supplies, and there are a ton of hiking options and outdoor activities nearby. Adele and her family were so kind and made sure that our stay was comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

I love everything about this place, and wish I could stay forever! The privacy alone is great, but the round-trip mile hike to a lookout is even better. It is clear that Adele takes great care of the sites and the access road. Thank you again!

Such a secluded and comfortable spot with everything you need! Had a great experience here with a wonderful set up - outhouse, fire pit & wood bundle, water for washing dishes, clean open space for tent surrounded by trees, bear box, and a trail with a lookout. Would recommend!

We love this campsite. It’s the perfect spot to bring the kids with some friends - several spots to pitch a tent, just the right amount of amenities to keep everyone comfortable, and you feel like you’re all by yourself in the woods.

We loved our stay at Maplewood at Terrace Farm! The site was beautiful and well cared for. Lots of privacy and "off the grid" but Phoenicia and hiking trails were close by. In fact there is a great trail with amazing views right on the property. And Adele was a wonderful host! We would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a memorable Catskills camping trip.

We loved tent camping at Terrace Farm! The host was very responsive and the campgrounds were well thought-out, clean, quiet, and lead to a great trail which overlooked the town of Phoenicia. I’ve done a few hip camps, and this by far has been the best! I can easily see why the ratings are high!

We loved our stay and hope to come back again in the future. Adele was very kind and made us feel welcome. We rented their 3-person tent which was simple enough to set up. She was responsive and gave us a few pointers for what we could do in the area; we mainly came to fish the Esopus Creek which was super close by.

Super clean site with clean and useful amenities. The hiking trail was well kept and enjoyable for a morning stroll. Right outside town, but still very secluded and quiet. We will be returning again!

We had a fantastic time at Adele’s farm. The campsite was flat, dry, clean, and very well maintained. She even gives you a complimentary large bundle of firewood, which was much appreciated. We hiked to the overlook in the morning then took a swim in Esopus Creek. Will definitely be returning!!
