The camp manager and staff were nice and helpful. The camp could be improved with the addition of grilling gates. None of the sites have one. We stayed on the Forest Ridge loop. None of the sites have privacy. They are quite close to each other with little to no vegetation for screening.

Mixed feelings on this one.
First, the positives:
-Great location, waterfront
-Next to several wineries
-Amenities (if you prefer having them)
The downside:
-Sites are about on top of each other
-Minimal parking
-Minimal tent setup locations
Overall, it’s not what I personally go for as I could easily throw a stone over the next five tents near me. But some folks like that! Ultimately, we booked a different site elsewhere last minute as this was too congested.

The beach was nice, but the campsites were tight and all rock. Much of it was sloped too. We asked to switch sites, since you aren't assigned one until you arrive, and the said we couldn't. No one was on those sights the time we were there.

Excellent location right in the middle of wine country with a great beach and boat dock. Campground was very quiet, especially in the “primitive camping” area, so that was awesome. A couple things were pretty undesirable - there are so many rocks, many of which could simply be cleaned up. No chance of pegging anything.in the ground and plenty of chance on kneeing a rock in your tent. Simple maintenance would help here - bummer walking out with a dusty and filthy tent from the dirt and rocks. Also, there were probably >10 spots yet the 3-4 campers were all grouped together.

Well maintained campgrounds on a beautiful lake, swimming and boating options. Plenty of driftwood for starting fires, and a water spigot on our campsite adds convenience.

Clean, quiet, easy access to lake. Very few people in tent section. Clean new bathrooms with hot water.

Very nice little campground right on the shore, staff was super friendly and accommodating, sites were clean and had good privacy, as well as access to bathrooms and of course, the lake.

I loved camping there. It was great. They take very good care of the grounds. Clean bathrooms and showers were great too. Overall I would definitely recommend it to people I know.

Clean, quiet, and peaceful campground. The firewood was a bit wet, so starting a fire took some effort, but overall the area is well-maintained with friendly staff. Having a private beach was very convenient. The bathhouse was also clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

The dispersed camping sites are quiet and far away from the toilet! Bath house was nice and clean. Swimming in the lake was the highlight for the kiddos.

We stayed at site 68 on hill loop. It was probably the most spacious and private of sites. It is however very close the the main road and cars and loud trucks are speeding up and down all day. There is a huge gorge trying to get into this site. We had 4WD and our tiny camper is off road. The hiking paths also converge on this site. The motors from the boats on the lake are really loud, too all day until about 10pm. Walked around the other sites are very open and not private. The closer to the lake, ppl had music unusually loud. Other neighbors in the hill loop were respectful and quiet. The office staff are lovely. The wood we purchased was not seasoned and difficult to light. Recommend bringing your own. Overall, I’d recommend it for a quick getaway. Better than an open RV park.

I had a great time camping at Smiths memorial land. The lady at the desk at the info center was very sweet and informative. The bathrooms were clean, and the dite we were at was great. The host was able to accommodate two vehicles which was great with last minute changes. But the views..... ugh they were amazing! Lots of things to do around there too! Beautiful hikes and waterfalls. We will be coming back !

Great location right on Seneca Lake. We stayed at the non-electric tent spots called Forest Ridge. 2 spots closest to the water (#43 & 44) are very nice - newer, flat w/ great water views. The other spots are all on the side of a hill and the one we initially booked was particularly sloped & chunky. However since it was so early in the season and we were the only tenters there, they were happy to accommodate our request to the nicer site.
The bathhouse is also new w/ spacious showers & clean. Sink with hot water on the side of the bathhouse was great for dishes. Every camp spot had its own water spigot.
Not sure how this would be during a busy summer weekend but for an early season getaway, this was beautiful, serene & relaxing. We loved that it was open before most other campgrounds were . We would definitely stay again.
