Site 203 - Camping at Campgound Adventures
Not private but quiet
Mixed feelings regarding this stay. Not your typical HIPCamp since it was a campground. We were placed in an area with what seemed to be permanent trailers. Luckily it was during the week and things were quite. Did talk to Jason, owner and they had just bought the place with a lot of work going on. With that being said, any issues we had, service not working, was taken care of right away. They were very attentive to problems. If your looking for a quiet place during the week to stay for a overnight stop, yes I would stay there. Not sure about any longer especially over the weekend.

Site 5 - Camping at Campgound Adventures
Work in progress with enormous potential. Owners are dedicated to the upgrade of this campground. Stayed in the 200 section that had water hookups and 30amp. It was pleasant, quiet, large sites with friendly people. They had the biggest bonfire going I've ever seen. When they finish the 100 section right along the ischuia creek, this could be the gem of the Olean Franklinville area. I would consider a seasonal site here in the future.

Wonderful new owners!
The new owners are making lots of terrific changes at the campground; they were friendly and engaged. Even drove out in the pouring rain to help us find our spot! The campground itself is made up of lawn spots, some of which are next to the creek. It's a pretty open layout, but we felt like we had some sense of privacy, as well.

Site 5 - Camping at Campgound Adventures
Peaceful and Scenic
We had the pleasure of camping here at the end of their season. Our site was right on Ischua Creek, with beautiful Willows overhanging the river bank. We don't fish but it would be a spectacular location for those who do. The campground is a combination of sweeping lawns and mature trees. On the river we saw Common Mergansers and big crayfish, and on the pond, turtles and frogs. You can hear trucks pass on Route 16 but it isn't close enough to be distracting. Also, there is a train track right across the creek. I waved at the engineer and he waved and pulled the train whistle! Because we were camping in an RV, we didn't use the bathhouse - however, we did take a look, and all the fixtures were new and clean. The electric and water for our site was conveniently accessible. Electric is 20amp so have an adapter if needed. The owners were responsive and friendly. The owner told us there was a trail around the back side of the pond, but we didn't hike it. Other than that, there isn't too much on the grounds here except a swingset/play area for children. Three things to note: 1. Our mapping program had us drive down Old Route 16. DO NOT DO THIS! It is a dead end. If we hadn't run into two guys who worked at the gravel pit, we'd still be stuck there. You must continue on Route 16 until you see the Campground Adventures sign. 2. When you pull in at the sign, the first thing you will see are some very dilapidated house trailers. You cannot see these from the camping area. 3. There is no wifi or cell service in the campground. The owner told us they will be working on wifi in 2022. We found driving around the hills of the area, there are many places with no service. We'd enjoy staying here again and highly recommend Campground Adventures.
