Quiet Lake George Area Campground

Stayed 3 nights at site #20 and had a great experience! The hosts were friendly and super responsive to my questions. The site is large, close to the playground and wood pile, and close to the bath house. The bathrooms are kept very clean and the showers are hot. It’s a short walk up to the lookout which has a great view. A really nice campground and we’re looking forward to visiting again!!

Little retro gem campground.

This is a little gem. A retro campground that is being lovingly restored by the owners. The camps are complete with fire pit, picnic table, power and water. The sites are flat and there is a private, low key vibe. The bath house is nicely redone. Best shower we had on our two week journey, so… We did not make the trail to the lookout, but made a great dinner and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Amenities such as groceries are not too far, maybe 13 miles, yet the property definitely has the country feel. We’d return next time we’re in the area.

I love this place, free firewood and the showers are just wonderful! Kelly is the nicest, and very patient (I was overly texty when I arrived) it's a great location for the event I was attending. Nice quiet area, love hearing all the owls in the woods there.

Great stay in Adirondacks

Wonderful visit at Kelly’s hipcamp! Very spacious full hookup sites, free firewood, and amazing views from the lookout just up the hill. The bathhouse is meticulously clean and there is a campers washing station for dishes. It is close enough to lake George and surrounding Adirondacks park but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. It is down the street from a trailhead for the Empire State bike trail. You must try the brew pub just down the road. If you are a golfer there is a course down the road as well. Lots of mini golf, shopping and distilleries. All in all a must stay if you are planning a trip to the area!! My father is already rebooking for next year.

Granite Hill was a lovely secluded campground with a recently renovated bathhouse. Kelly was very communicative and welcoming when I arrived. The short hike to the hilltop is a must because the view is beautiful and there’s lots to explore in the area. .

This was our first time camping with our new to us travel trailer. We were able to get a pull through site with full hook ups. Very nice campground, with a few walking trails. Owners were very nice, and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. Overall great experience for our first time.

Short but Sweet

Though we arrived late for check-in, our hosts accommodated our schedule and even greeted us upon arrival. They walked us through the ins and outs and we very kind. The campgrounds are clean, open, and with lots of space. The kids had a fun playground to entertain themselves on in the morning and I was very impressed with the newly renovated showers. A very nice touch was the calendar of local events in each of the bathrooms. We had a short, but sweet stay!

Great campground. We arrived after dark but one of the owners came out to direct us to our spot. Quiet, well organized, and a beautiful lookout from the mountain a 3 minute walk from out spot. Bathroom/facilities spotless. Would camp there again in a heartbeat.

This was a great location for us to stay. We had a flat pull through spot perfect for our camper. The full hook-up was super convenient too. Bathrooms are clean and close by. Two beautiful overlook spots are on the property to watch the sunset.

We loved camping on Kelly's land they are dog friendly! It was clean and our campsite was close to the bathrooms/showers. We were about 25min ride to lake george. Down near the railroad tracks there is a water area,which we didn't get to explore, but looks like a great place to bring your dog to cool off.

We are so happy that we picked this spot for camping! When we arrived Kelly greeted us to let us know that there new showers to enjoy, give us a coupon for a local restaurant and to inform us of free firewood! Our spot had power (didn't need to use it) and water. The property was beautiful with a path up to see the sunset. Our fellow campers were very respectful of the quiet hours. The campsite is located in Fort Ann which is very close to Lake George and out of the way enough from all the tourist traffic. We are so happy that we stayed here and hope to return!!

A quiet getaway near Lake George

A clean and quiet campground about 15 minutes from Lake George and some great hiking and running and mountain biking. Kelly and Ryan are terrific hosts and we hope to come back soon. Easy to navigate sites, plenty of room, clean bathroom and showers and beautiful gardens. We loved the short hikes on the property for sunset. The Canal bike path is less than a half mile down the road and a fun way to see the locks. Very cool part of our history.

Hosts were amazing - they were welcoming, available, and very accommodating/ flexible. Site itself has great - nice community in general. Abundant very wood for days was clutch. And the bathrooms were great - some of the nicest camping bathrooms I have experienced to-date. Great access to lake george, catskills, Adirondacks. Come on out and see it for yourself! Highly recommend :)

My husband and I enjoyed a stay at Kelly and Ryan’s beautiful, quiet camping area. The grounds are beautifully maintained as are the bathroom and showers. The landscaping is lovely . Everyone was friendly. .There was a storm and they checked in on us several times which was appreciated. The directions are clear and we found lovely hikes and delicious restaurants nearby. The short ride to Lake George Village was convenient. We will definitely return.

I stayed at the campsite #17 with my dog for two nights and had a great experience. The bathhouse was incredibly clean—definitely the cleanest bathroom I’ve encountered on a camping trip! A hot shower was available as well. You will hear train sounds from time to time, but it didn’t bother me at all. I needed help from the owner, and they resolved the issue immediately. Communication with the owner was excellent! The location is also fantastic, being only about 20 minutes from Lake George and Glens Falls. Highly recommend!

Spent a night and had a great time. Campsite was fairly close to the nice bathrooms. Campsites are close to each other, but there wasn’t anyone else around. It was nice to hear all the birds and see all the fireflies in the trees. Even got to see the milkyway.

Campsites were very spacious. Grounds were very well maintained. The two lookout locations had beautiful views. The bathhouse was very nice, all updated with big tiled showers! Kelly was so nice, gave us a good lay of the land upon our arrival. This is a really great spot all around and we would definitely come back again!
