I had a great time camping at Eeyore’s Den. There was plenty of privacy and space between sites. Matt was super nice and showed me around the grounds. The charging station was very helpful as well.

I arrived late, but Matt and Sheryl were so welcoming and helpful, I felt comfortable right away. Very easy to communicate with. Nice, private, flat place for a little car camping overnight. Just right.

This is my second time here visiting upstate NY! Poohs Korner is my favorite place to camp. Not only do I feel safe, but I love the fact that it’s still camping, and the amenities are close by! The compost toilet is genius, & Mike and Sheryl are so sweet! Minutes from downtown. If I ever come back to Watkins Glen. I will always book with Pooh’s Korner.

I had an enjoyable stay. I very much appreciated the charging station and the area to hang out in while the electronics were charging. I also appreciated the 12:00 p.m. check-in time.

Stopped here for a night on my way to Maine. Just minutes from Watkins Glen, Matt and Sheryl have thought of everything needed to have a cozy night out doors! Would absolutely stay here again!

Peace & Stillness at Pooh's Corner

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend camping at Pooh's Corner! The campground is incredibly peaceful and private - exactly what we were looking for. Each site feels tucked away, surrounded by nature, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. Quiet, untouched, and full of peace. Our small dog, Luna, enjoyed the trails that are available. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and you can tell the owners (Matt & Cheryl) really care about keeping it that way. We loved sitting by the campfire at night, listening to the quiet, starlit nights and waking up to birds and sunshine in the morning. It was the perfect escape from the noise and rush of everyday life. It was a breath of stillness. Location is ideal as it is close to Watkin's Glen and numerous wineries on Seneca Lake. Perfect for our one night stay on a long road trip! Very close to Watkins Glen, amenities were exactly what we needed, campsite was pretty private, host were very nice! We did have a campsite cat that was overly invested in our cooking but too cute to be mad at. We would definitely come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Experience at Pooh’s Hideaway! We had a wonderful stay at Pooh’s Hideaway! The hosts, Matt and Sheryl, were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they came to greet us personally when we arrived and took the time to explain everything in detail, including all the facilities we could use. The campsite was peaceful and well-maintained, with a nice picnic table, hammock, and fire pit setup that made it feel cozy and comfortable. The location was quiet and surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing weekend. We really appreciated the clear communication and thoughtful setup — everything was clean, organized, and easy to find. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely love to come back again! 🌿🔥

Matt and Sheryl were lovely. We didn't get in until after dark but they met us when we arrived and since no one else was expected while we were there they let us choose a site closer to the bathrooms. They gave us a tour even in the dark! Everything was cute and clean. They even have hot water.

Our stay was perfect, except it was too short! We will most definitely be rebooking a stay here the next time we are in the area. The hosts are fantastic, the space is private and relaxing, and we loved every minute we were there!

Eeyore’s Den was a cheerful place!

This was such a wonderful stay—we heard crickets and coyotes at night, and many lovely birds throughout the day. We also thoroughly enjoyed a few visits by a furry feline friend, and appreciated the amenities.

Matt and Sheryl are very accommodating and responsive hosts. I loved my 5 day stay at Eeyore’s Den at Pooh’s Corner. The hot and cold potable water were so nice to have available, as well as the compost toilet. I left refreshed and a very happy camper!

A great stay for the tent campers!!

Had a great stay at this cozy campground. Very friendly owners and they thought of everything, if you forget to bring something. The hot water station was a very convenient perk and ingenious idea. I even had a hammock already on my site. I’m definitely going back before I leave NY. Thanks again for the great stay and hiking advice. Happy Birthday Mam. Oh and I named my buddy, Skinny Pete (little kitten who visits the site).

Pooh's Corner is a eautiful place to camp, and is conveniently close to Watkin's Glen. Our camping experience was made much easier, thanks to warm water, precut wood, a composing toilet, and the hospitality shed! I will absolutely be recommending this site to my friends!

Best camping in Watkins Glen

If you’re going to Watkins Glen for the state park/gorge trail, don’t camp at the state park, stay at Pooh’s Corner instead! I’ve personally travelled to Watkins Glen 3 times to camp and share the area with different groups of friends/family and I can say with confidence - the experience and activities that Matt and Sheryl added to our trip made it significantly better than when I just stayed at the state park. I won’t spoil the surprise for some of the hidden gems they shared with us but what I will say is the campground was clean, quiet, and absolutely gorgeous. Hands down, best camping trip to Watkins Glen I’ve ever had.
