Pros:
* very private, nice scenic atmosphere, soft grass for tents, tons of space
Consider:
* not responsive, so make sure you don't have a single question and you have plenty of light to try to explore and find the sites with little directions or markings;
* the three goats are fun to see but be warned they will follow you beyond their pen to your tents and may not leave you or your dog alone overnight;
* its about a 1/3 mile across a marsh and up a hill with no markings to the sites;
* more ticks than I've seen before with lots of camping so be sure to bring protection

Peaceful and pretty, this wooded and grassy plateau is a great place to camp and admire the foliage. The mazelike layout of the mowed paths does mean if you hike the 10min up the hill in the dark you might need to wander a bit to find the outhouse or the campsite itself. Never found the water tank. The goats were adorable and friendly.
Do note if you camp here on a windy night, the metal roof of the shed catches the air just right to flap about, hitting the wood frame. It sounded like there was a medium-sized animal up there which was kind of scary until I discovered that it was just a loose roof panel.

Spot is honestly a gem. Took us a second to get oriented but once we got settled it was great. Goats were adorable and saw some cool birds, heard the coyotes howling as well. Short 5min walk from the parking area to the camping area. We didn’t see the outdoor shower but we were not looking for it. The sink by the outhouse didn’t work, but i’m sure if we asked the host would have helped with it. Propane stove was super clutch. Some of the chairs in the shelter are on their last leg, so would recommend checking them before taking a seat. Would love to come back here.

Andrew’s property was a blast to camp in. The goats led us to where we had to go on arrival. The area is very quiet and private with a nice meandering meadow to walk in through.

Nice and secluded spot to tent camp. Solid camping spot that is close to Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Nature Preserve. When you arrive you might be a little confused or be a little worried but the little hike in to the property takes you to a nice private spot. Nice shelter great for storing gear during the night, eating, and cooking meals on the gas stove. Gas stove was especially appreciated with a burn ban in effect during the trip. Definitely recommend wearing boots for the walk in, would also recommend packing everything in backpacks, it's a short hike like 5 min in but there is a portion that you have to watch where you set. So come with head lamps if you plan on doing the walk when it's dark.
We brought our own water but there is running water. Bathroom gets the job done, nothing special didn't smell you which is always a plus.
Overall experience is comparable to most hike in campsites

Fun getaway to make you feel immersed in nature. We saw a beaver on the walk in and even heard some coyotes and owls throughout the night. The full dining table was wonderful to have a late dinner at

Lovely oasis tucked away in a meadow! The hike in makes for an especially remote, serene experience. Definitely recommend. The wood structure is super helpful to have in the rain! Host was very responsive and helpful.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but this was by far the worst camping experience I’ve had. The host didn’t pick up a single one of my calls. He wouldn’t allow us to park more than 3 vehicles at the site despite having a ton of room requiring us to drive 30 minutes to a free parking area. For an “environmentalist” you would think he’d want to avoid us having 2.5 more hours of fossil fuel cars driven on the road. The walk to the campsite is atrocious. It is not labeled at all, was about a 15 minute walk through difficult terrain lugging camping gear back and forth, it only had singular tiny planks of wood to cover the water, which were sinking by the end. The building at the camp site was not maintained at all and one of my friends foot went right through the wood on the back deck. THERE IS NO WORKING SINK OR SHOWER even with the water on and the “compostable toilet” is just a bucket. Do not be fooled by this site. It might have been nice years ago but it is not maintained and way more trouble than it was worth.

My friends and I spent two nights at the Center for Bioregional Living and fully enjoyed our time out of the city and under the stars. The site is well-maintained and quite secluded in an immersive meadow landscape. It's also a close drive to many amazing hikes, swimming spots, and farmer's markets. We set up camp near the outdoor classroom, were able to prep and eat summer's bounty in the wooden structure, cooked our meals on the wood fire grill (there is also a 2-burner stove available), and spent most evenings around the fire pit. Having access to site amenities, like an outhouse, rainwater-fed sink, and outdoor shower, elevated our camping experience. Andrew and Adriana were responsive and supportive throughout our stay. One afternoon, we were welcomed by the Center's goats as we brought things to our camp! We were all enchanted by our time at the Center and look forward to coming back again!

I had a fantastic time camping on Andrew and Adriana’s land. They explained all amenities thoroughly, and I found the campsite as well as compost toilet and shower to be great experiences. I was able to find a place to set up my camping hammock under shelter which was a plus!
By far the best aspect of this trip was the educational aspect of Andrew’s permaculture property, and I can’t thank his family enough for inspiring me and motivating me to keep going with my own goals.
You will be left alone and have tons of privacy with expansive land in a hillside meadow to meander around, feel safe as a solo camper, and experience beavers swimming right by the road. I also loved the chickens, ducks, goats, great kitchen gardens, wild medicinal herbs everywhere and fruit/nut trees.
Don’t hesitate to book some time here! You won’t regret it.

Night sky was exquisite from the campsite on the to of the hill. Big mirror in the privy for checking for ticks was a thoughtful touch for solo travelers.
