Beautiful campground with water, fire ring and table on site. There is an outdoor shower and porta potty’s as well. Tyler was very nice, periodically does his rounds to check on people and has firewood to sell if you need. I will definitely be back, me and my pup had a great time! Highly recommend!

I love the Peconic River Campground. It's very quiet, peaceful, and the grounds are beautiful. The Peconic River / Forge Pond access from the property is picturesque. I love kayaking there, too. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. Tyler comes around daily to see if you need firewood. It's very low key, simple, and the port-a-potties were clean. It's all you need, nothing more, nothing less. I'll be back. I recommend it.

It was our second stay and a Nor’Easter! The grounds were empty but maybe 3 sites occupied.
Tyler is ever vigilant with safety and doing his rounds, got us some extra fire wood and hunkered down! Porta Potties so clean and well maintained. Property clean and quiet.
The storm was quite intense but our experience was not affected. We will always be back!

Great site, clean porta John’s, potable water pipes across the site, outdoor shower, garbage dump, fire pit, fishing. Staff comes by twice a day to sell wood. Has everything you need for a great time with nature!

The hosts were fantastic and the vibe was so peaceful and friendly.
You can hear the constant hum of highway - even at night - so those wanting perfect peace and quiet might be disappointed.
But it was a really sweet spot and a great jumping off point to explore more of North Fork. We would definitely return.

This is my 3rd time back here and I love each time. It is perfect to just chill with nature and not be bothered by anyone. Tyler is always attentive and making sure everyone is good. Will be coming back soon.

Great location right on the Peconic River, easy to get to, kid friendly, running water at many sites and porta potties available. The nearby race track is pretty loud and runs late, so don't expect a tranquil fireside evening of wildlife sounds, but you can tune it out.

The campground is very clean with beautiful scenery. It was absolutely peaceful, the fellow campers were very kind and the host Tyler was kind, communicative and responds to your requests right away. No complaints here.

Great location, close to nyc. Offers different terrain options to pitch camp; hilly, woods, grass, etc. Enough porta potties and water spigots to not have to wait in line.

What an unexpected little gem. We traveled here from NC. Attentive camp hosts. Clean restrooms. Watching the swans in the lake while drinking morning coffee was awesome. My daughter wanted to see Manhattan, and this was the perfect balance of peace to the bustle of the city. Honestly, made the trip for me.

This campground, one of very few on Long Island, is well kept, well organized, and attended to by Tyler, a great person! Be prepared, cold shower only, BUT, a small price to pay for a great campground close to both the North & South Forks of Long Island!

The best stay to explore Long Island on a budget! The campground was nice in a very convenient location. We explored montauk/the Hamptons one day and the next day we explored the North fork. Highly recommend!

We loved camping in our tent at Peconic River Campgrounds. Tyler was very welcoming. The campground is well kept. It was great we got to choose which campsite we preferred. The other campers were also friendly and there was a nice sense of community, although none of us had met before. The lake is beautiful to look at. I felt at peace during my stay.
Also, I am a light sleeper, so I brought a white noise machine and earplugs. By 10:30 or 11:00 PM, it was quiet enough for me to sleep. I could hear a train and some road traffic in the distance as I fell asleep, but I slept fine until my family member woke me up at 8:15 AM.

We went with my husband to relax for the long weekend and did not expect to like it so much, it was our first time camping and we are coming back here for sure!! Everything was so nice we would definitely recommend our friends and family!
