Beautiful lot with amazing sunset views and perfect stargazing! Outhouse was clean and very convenient, hosts mother extremely pleasant and the picnic setup was adorable. I felt very safe as a solo female car camper. Make sure you pack plenty of food and drinks bc restaurants are few and far between and i didn’t spot a grocery store anywhere nearby - but maybe i didn’t do my best at looking. Letchworth state park is minutes away - you gotta go!
I have Mint Mobile which runs off of AT&T towers and i had 1-2 bars most of the time while at this Hipcamp, enough for reliable texting /calls/ data usage. No service at all in Letchworth State Park.

Camping at Hip camp was a really great time! Carly is very welcoming and friendly, we taint weather which made tent camping more difficult but we still had a very fun time. Letchworth state park is under 10 minutes away. We had a great time at oak hill!

We had a wonderful stay at Oak Hill. Marcia was there to greet us upon arrival and show us around. The location was perfect for our visit to Letchworth State park and the campsite exceed our expectations. Lots of space, fire pit, table, lovely outhouse and dry sink was perfect. Marcia and Carly thought of everything you would possibly need. Beautiful sunrise and sunset each day and some very nice goats for company. Great to chat to Marcia and hear all about life on her family farm. Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area.

I got in late and in the dark it was a little tricky to see the “gap in the fence” since it’s covered in ivy. Super cute spot, the abandoned barn is gorgeous when the sunrises. Carly is super responsive and very helpful.

I booked here to be close to Letchworth State Park, and it was just perfect. I didn't meet Carly, but her mum was there to introduce herself and was really kind and friendly. As a single woman camping alone for the first time, I felt really safe at this location, which I appreciated. If I messed up tent set up and the pole hit me in the head, I figured someone would come check on me! I wanted solitude but not too much solitude, and this was exactly the sweet spot for me.
The field was mowed down nice and short, and I had room to spare for my 13.5' diameter tent. The outhouse was solid and really nice. Drysink was set up for use.
Managing expectations - this is a site next to an active farm, and there are other houses and fields along this road. So, there was a barking dog in the night for a while somewhere, and there is a big overhead light on a tall pole above the farm. I forgot to pack a lantern, but it didn't matter - there was enough ambient light for me to get by just fine. If you want dark skies and solitude, this is not the camp for you, but I loved it.
There was a fenced area with a super goat-land playground in it, I think the goats arrived for the summer not long before I left. I think if you had kids, you might really love this location. There was a fire pit but I didn't use it.
I will definitely book again next year if this site is free on the weekend I want!

Beautiful location! We had everything we needed for our stay- 4 nights, tent camping with 2 adults and a preschooler. The water provided is a bottled jug with a spigot. The outhouse is quite nice, though it has a split door and only the lower half latches shut from inside. On windy days, the upper half can blow open while you're using it and be a bit awkward with your companions. I think the firewood is on an honor system- it's all laying there, so pay for about as much as you plan to use and don't overthink it. There's not a lot of mid-sized kindling, mainly just newspaper and logs.
We had gorgeous sunsets 2 of the 4 evenings. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area!

Carly's Hipcamp was our basecamp for some biking in the area. It is a stone's throw from Letchworth State Park, which was ideal since a bike around the park was one of our goals. This spot was a gem. Carly and her family are welcoming, the space for camping is inviting, the outhouse is clean and the scent of the cedar is strong, and the goats are friendly. The area to pitch the tent is not far from the road but there was not much vehicle traffic at night.

This spot was full of pleasant surprises. We were treated with outstanding hospitality. Outhouse and sink were very useful. Some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. ~5 minute drive to south end of Letchworth State Park. Be sure to take advantage of fresh local produce on the property as part of your camping menu!

We loved this Hipcamp spot and we hope to come back there again!
Things we loved; the expansive views over the field, especially the sunsets, watching the birds fly in and out of the old barn, watching the baby fox kits playing in the field, the super friendly goats, the friendly dog, and the nicest host, Marcia. The site isn’t the most private, and yes it’s closer to the road than most farm camp sites- however, the traffic was very minimal, never a bother, and we felt safe to let our 6 year old run around. Marcia is a wonderful host, and was wonderful with our son who was obsessed with feeding her goats. Great site for families with kids! Thanks for taking such good care of us Marcia!

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at Oak Hill. The place was great with plenty of space, a rustic feel and easy access to Letchworth State Park. I liked the firepit area and the outhouse was immaculate... when I arrived there was also a scented candle lit inside. I also liked the farm-stand on site. Sunrises were beautiful from the site as well. I would stay here again if I were to return to the area.
Also, I loved Zeppos Creekside Creamery in Mt. Morris (amazing ice cream).

If you need a place to stay near Letchworth State Park and Carly has availability, go for it. The location is ridiculous! Not only is it a hop away from the park, but the spot is wonderful!

I have mixed feelings about our stay. As stated by other reviews, the site is right off the road. We were aware of this going in, and it wasn’t bad at all. Very low traffic. Carly has added some amenities. There was a dry sink with wash bins, a 2.5gal water jug, soap, and some towels for our use. There was also the fire grate and a mini Weber grill. All these were great, but I was very disappointed to learn that the firewood bundle that I had paid extra for was just a pile of logs in the grass. It had rained off and on all day so they were unusable, and they were all large logs too-no kindling. They were there no matter what, so don’t bother paying the $5. Carly-either build a shelter for your wood or let campers know! I passed dozens of stands selling wood and if I had known I would have brought my own.
When setting up camp we pitched our tents to the left of the fire pit. We were surprised to see that there was a teardrop camper and a large RV on the property, both looked empty. If the teardrop was on Hipcamp I definitely would have booked that.
The view is stunning, we had a great time watching the sunset. I took some amazing drone shots. It started pouring around 8pm, there is no shelter or trees on this property, so unfortunately we couldn’t hang a tarp for shelter or anything, kinda disappointed with that. Just had to get right in our tents. Carly was generous enough to offer the large RV to us because it was thunder storming al night, but we had already hunkered down.
One final note. Carly’s house is right next to the camping property, and on our night it sounded as if she was having a small get together. There was moderate noise late into the night with people talking and raised voices on her porch. I won’t go into what the conversation was about, but you could hear EVERYTHING. Not what I expected for a camping farm retreat.
Overall I’d probably stay here again if I needed a quick stop on a road trip. It had good amenities, was clean, and the price is right. Keep on improving Carly!

The host was very friendly and helpful. She put out newspaper and wood to start a fire. There was also a grate to go over the fire for cooking. It was also a very nice spot to watch the sunset.
My only complaint was that this is not a private campsite. It’s on a mowed lawn that’s fenced in next to the house. Definitely still had your own space from the host but I’d like to clarify you will not be in the woods or have trees to set up a hammock. The second night another couple stayed there too and there was only one fire out to share amongst the both of us. It felt a little uncomfortable since we didn’t want to get close to other people due to Covid. Beside that, it is very close to Letchworth and Silver Lake so you can go hiking/paddling and get away during the day.

We had such an amazing stay here! This site has the most beautiful view and is super serene and quiet. The hosts are super friendly and there’s an extremely friendly kitten on the premises. We wish we could’ve extended our stay and stay longer! This was so beautiful

The farm is beautiful and it is a peaceful location. It was a little bit different than we expected, as the listing implies that there is a lot of spaced out farmland for camping, when in reality it is only a smaller fenced area of grass to the side of the house (it felt a little like camping in someone’s backyard/lawn). There was also no grill for over the fire pit, so make sure to bring your own for cooking.
That being said, though, it is a beautiful view and if you are properly prepared it could be a wonderful experience and perfectly close to Letchworth State Park.

This is a convenient spot to just get away! The field is mowed and flat for easy camp set up. Beautiful sunset view, tons of fire flies, and big open sky for star gazing. If your stay is at the start of July, you’ll be treated to black raspberries that grow next to your site. The site is pretty close to the road, but it is low traffic, virtually none at night. Peaceful and beautiful spot!
