Heaven in the Clouds
Boy, where to even begin...
Pulling up to the warm, friendly welcome from Debbie and her family we knew we were in for a treat. We were guided up to our site from her husband who kindly brought the firewood they provide (for a small fee) up to the site for us. And that’s when we got to heaven on a hill (well, mountain really). The site wws beautifully maintained with a pond my dog especially loved to swim in. It has beautiful views, day and night. What made our experience on Debbies property even more special was being able to hear all the night sounds of the bugs and the coyote howls in the far distant, with a few moos from there cows here and there. When we needed more wood it was kindly delivered again for our convenience. The property also offers a great market with fresh eggs, milk, and bacon which is great for supper. About a five minutes drive away is a general store that has literally EVERYTHING. We mainly explored the finger lakes area which is only a little over an hour away but there are some really magnificent hikes, ponds, and lakes near by definitely worth checking out. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a private, accommodating, camping experience with the best morning and night views around and where you feel so safe and welcomed.
Obviously camping isn’t for everyone and by everyone I mean the one bad review below who clearly doesn’t know how to camp and take advantage of an amazing experience.

Private Sunset and Star Viewing
Beautiful view, gorgeous sunset, and amazing star gazing! We camped at site 2 which was perfect for us. Just enough privacy, we couldnt see anyone from our site unless other visitors were roaming around the farm. The sound bounces off of the water, we could only barely hear voices from the other sites which is comforting in case of an emergency, but each site had its own privacy. 5 out of 5 stars and would camp there again. Debbie is a friendly host, and communicated well and with fast responses.
Things to note:
bugs are obviously there, but why go camping without bug spray.... Honestly, considering the site 2 is next to water, I was pleasently suprised by how few mosquitoes there were. (Bit only twice, we stayed 2 nights so pretty good)
The sun rays are pretty hot from 11am to 5pm, so bring some shade, but we just hit up some watering holes nearby during the heat times, there are several lakes/rivers within 15 minutes away. 12 to 2pm there is very natural shade in August.
Plently of dead sticks/tinder to gather, i would bring your own wood but not needed, forging can be done.
The cows were fenced in so they didnt bother us, (the calves were super cute though!!)
The sounds of the cicadas and bullfrogs etc. The beautiful white noise i personally love, but if you are a light sleeper, you may want earplugs.
Lush grass, we did not even set up sleeping pad, the ground was very comfy.
Check it, you wont be disappointed.

The host was fantastic, prompt, and guided us to our tent site and helped out with any questions we had. She also provided a handout with shops and things to do in the nearby region.
The name of the camp is a bit of a misnomer, it is by absolutely no means a mountain, more so of a hilltop at best. There’s some okay-ish views of surrounding valleys and hills. We stayed at camp site 3, which the host gave us free reign to camp wherever we’d like up in our camp area/within their property line which we thought was very kind.. and nice to be able to pick out the perfect spot. That being said, it’s mostly just a wide open field, taller grass and weeds with field crickets EVERYWHERE. To be fair, the field is used for hay. But the crickets were to the point that they were all over us and our dogs and belongings... so we had to pack up everything but the tent at night. I think it would help if some of the more camped in areas were mowed down. Saying that, there were two other camp sites near ponds that seemed quite nice, though a bit too close together for our liking and how we prefer to camp, which is in total seclusion. It felt more as if we were in someone’s huge backyard rather than a true camping experience.

What a beautiful site! Right on a large hill with a pond, great for watching sunset and stargazing (better when moon went down). Cows come right along the campsite- they were so fun to watch! We only stayed one night but it was a fantastic piece of land.

Amazing views, great host.
The campsites were beyond incredible. I recommend site #2 or #1 as they have a small pond and beautiful views.
The property is off a gravel road, with a rough driveway, but careful driving of any vehicle can make it without issue.
Debbie was so nice and we really loved how welcome she immediately made us feel. Highly recommended.

Beautiful weekend!
Had such a wonderful weekend! Debbie was super warm and welcoming and the site was breathtaking. The sunsets were fabulous, the cows around us were so cute and never bothered us with smell or noise, and with the little tree coverage we saw so many shooting stars! There are also beautiful waterfalls to drive to which was a fun day adventure!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to camp over the Fourth of July weekend. You can see for miles around which allowed us to see the fireworks from the surrounding towns. Nice little pond stocked with bass. Debbie and her husband could not have been nicer!

Absolutely delightful
Beautiful, secluded, and quiet. We fell asleep and woke up to the serene sounds of nature. Highly recommend! Be aware there are no amenities, so it’s a real camping experience.
