Our late check-in was pretty easy. A helpful map to the cabin and the keys were left in an easy to find spot. The cabin suited us well for our quick one night, the campground is very nice, the hosts were nice. The cabin is pretty tiny, it can sleep about 4, but you wouldn't have anywhere indoors really to hangout. The ladder setup to get to the loft seemed a bit treacherous, but I'm a wuss with heights. My friend managed well enough. We saw the cutest little orange salamander in the morning! Quiet area, which was pleasant.

Lakeside Campground was a great find just over the NY state border. Penny was there to welcome us in spite of our later arrival and kept the store open for us to pick up some items for our stay. The campground is well laid out, with spring plantings and personal touches throughout. Our yurt was located right on the lake & had its own dock to enjoy the spring peepers at night. Neat & tidy interior: creature comforts and a really comfy bed! Screened windows allow cool breezes in for an exceptional sleep. Hot water & good shower pressure in the shower house - we used the all-in-one on Huff ‘n Puff Ln. Bring a quarter with you: gets you 9 minutes of shower time.
This campground is now on our list of travel sites when headed north!

Great level spot. Excellent laundry facilty and cheap $3.00 per load and the dryer is amazing!!!! quiet, nice walk around the campsite. General store has beer..Pool was an added bonus. I think I met the hosts.. but they leave you be.

This is a really nice camp site! The presence of water and electricity on the site was great! Also the bathrooms and showers are very clean. There are playgrounds for kids, although some section of them they need some love and care.
The only con is that there is no sandy beach at the lake. The bottom of the swimming area of the lake is mucky.

I thought this campground was very cute, welcoming, and relaxing. The tent is very rustic and nothing fancy - which works just fine for me! It's very spacious and has more than enough room for more beds if you wanted to pack your own. The provided beds aren't very comfortable (they are cots, and I wasn't expecting them to be) so I brought some extra padding and it worked fine. The campground offers several other options if you're looking for something more than just a basic tent. For me, this was perfect. It was just a place to sleep and there was plenty to do in the campground to keep us busy during the day. My biggest complaint is that there are only two bathrooms next to the tent and they also have showers, so in the morning and evening, the popular showering times, you can't get into the bathrooms. I do wish they had separate toilet-only bathrooms so people who just need to use the restroom aren't having to keep checking in for an opening between people using the showers. Aside from that, I loved this campground and really enjoyed the tent.

I loved our experience here this weekend. Everyone was super nice.. literally everyone we ran into on the campgrounds and off was very helpful, friendly and -accommodating . The cabin we stayed on Was clean and actually spacious enough for just us two adults and nicely stocked with the basics. WiFi was hit or miss.. and we were told it works better on android products more than Apple. There was lots to do as well from fishing , to the rec room, swimming, etc.
I will definitely be returning to stay here, with kids next time as I know they would enjoy it as much as we did. I highly recommend a stay here.

I accidentally pressed a low rating and now I am not able to go back and select “Great” … we really had a great relaxing time, I have no complaints!! The hosts were soo nice and attentive. The camp ground was beautiful. Bathrooms were clean. It was very dog friendly my pup had an amazing time. The convenience store was well equipped. It was a little colder than anticipated so we bought sweaters there and a blanket. It was very quiet and relaxing. The Wi-Fi was amazing we were able to stream scary movies at night with no problem.

Great place in all, nice and friendly host, bathroom was very clean and maintained daily, although the weather starting to get warm, I recommend carrying a little space heater with u, coz does get really cold at night.
