Close to water and ATV trails start right at camp grounds Close short ride to stores and gas. Nice ATV ride to salmon river to go swimming. However a lot of traffic (cars motorcycles and ATV going by camp site till late hours. So no early to bed People very friendly

Kasoag Lake is a beautiful lake hidden in Williamstown NY with four wheeler trails that go right through the property. We had a great weekend there. We look forward to going back up.

The owner was very laid back and the people that are yearly residents were all very nice... we ended up on a front lawn of an abandoned house on the property ... with a lake view across the way... had we been an actual RV, as the spot I reserved was an RV/Camper van spot... it would not have been ideal. The spot was fine for our car with rooftop tent. So just a heads up. We camped spur of the moment.. but plan ahead .. next time we will bring the kayaks as well as the ATV

Not really a place for tent camping, seems more like an RV trailer park. We were told we could pitch our tent wherever on the property and there just wasn’t really a private area. More of an open field than a campground. The bartenders were super friendly tho and moonshine was reasonably priced!

What a wonderful time we had! We met some really great people and hope to have made some friendships! Jay was awsome! Extremely helpful great guy all around!!!! Also there is a young man working for him by the name of James who was extremely helpful and kind!

We had a great view of the lake, but were pretty close to the next camper. We were disappointed not to have a fire ring. The restaurant was great & had a huge selection of food. We were delighted to have full hook-up. Host Jay was super-friendly and very accommodating . Wonderful location if you bring your ATV or UTV as they have fuel, sell trail passes and maps, and are right on the trail system. Unfortunately, our dog got sick, so we left a day early.

This is a spot perfectly situated to take the family camping… and get hammered. Offering both natural beauty and a bit of squalor, it is a true slice of Americana.
We were disappointed to miss “Microaggression 2024!!” a little people professional wrestling tournament, which here occurred the day before we arrived.
But we did enjoy Fourth of July hillbilly dynamite competitions in which campers exchanged taunts through blasts that could kill the sturdiest of woodchucks. Each blast followed by a loud and proud, “Murica!”
Neighbors were friendly. Which is a good thing because the campsite was squeezed between two cottages.
The bathroom situation is two “private shared” bathrooms, sans locks, surrounded like a fortress by a dozen portapotties. Clean for a place that hosts a midget wrestling tournament. I mean, think about it.
The lake itself is manmade. With shared dock access, the water was dark and cold.
A state park … it is not. However, the proprietor was friendly. Electric and water and sewer hook ups were reliable. Cell phone service is mid.

We camped under a massive Maple tree which was great for shade. We connected the RV to the electrical and water of the old house.
There seemed a constant breeze coming across the fields toward the lake which was nice given the heat wave at the time. The lake is very picturesque.
We found it a perfect spot for our needs.

Excellent. Our site was perfect. Beautiful view of the lake. The lake was the best for kayaking. The fishing was great! Enjoyed the live entertainment. Kudos to the cook…BEST WINGS EVER!!!

Excellent host. Great views right in the lake and restaurant on the property. Bathhouse is available as well. It was a little cold to shower but would prob be just fine in the summer. Hope to come back again.

For eclipse purposes it was fine good view and didn’t care for the camping area just thought it would be a little more reserved and not the feeling of being exposed but overall made a good time and our host was awesome.

Great eclipse experience!
We arrived late at night and Jay was great - he showed us the various campsite options and helped us set up a fire.
The bar was open for dinner and breakfast in the morning.
There was a bathroom on the campsite.
We went out on the lake for a late morning kayak and it was so peaceful.
We really enjoyed. Thank you Jay

Had a great time at solar eclipse 2024. Jay was very attentive and accommodating. The Kasoag Tavern is a great spot located across the street to grab a drink and bite to eat. Would definitely visit this place again!

We really enjoyed our stay for the Eclipse 2024 event. We had a great site right next to the lake, and the wings and beer were top notch at the restaurant. Nice people! The site was level and we camped for 3 nights with our dog. Highly recommended!

A wonderful experience start to finish! Jay & Jill are such wonderful hosts that truly make you feel like you’re right at home. My daughter and dog were the happiest girls. It’s safe, the food at the tavern is yummy (you can request grilled vs fried if your stomach is sensitive), and the company was great. 10/10 definitely coming back!

We pulled in by the tavern and met up with some folks who quickly got us situated! We were given a suggestion as to where to set up camp, took the suggestion, and in no time were relaxed, set and ready to have some dinner and drinks in the tavern. The environment was very relaxed and everyone was super friendly and helpful! We came for the eclipse, and will definitely come back! Thank You 😊

Adjacent to a wonderful bar and restaurant where we got to enjoy the many flavors of moonshine when we were ready to take a break from camp cooking. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the serenity of the wilderness compared to our nyc lives. The campsites were well-maintained and spacious, providing ample privacy while still fostering a sense of community among fellow campers.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the eclipse of course but stargazing at night, gave us a breathtaking views and offered background sounds of local wildlife. Whether we were an appreciating lush forests or marveling at serene lake, this excursion left us feeling rejuvenated and connected to the natural world.
The camp staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to offer assistance or provide recommendations for nearby attractions.
Overall, our experience at this campsite was nothing short of magical. We left feeling refreshed and inspired, already planning our return trip. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature's beauty, look no further than this hidden gem.

We had a blast during the eclipse! Everyone was so kind, both the staff and other patrons. The tavern was awesome. The kids loved playing cornhole outside overlooking the lake. Great time, highly recommend 🙂

We stayed during the eclipse. I loved our full hookup site on the lake. What a view!
Tavern was convenient and had good pub food.
Hosts Jay & his wife were awesome hosts. They did it all, checking in your campsite, bartenders and serving food in the restaurant.
We will be back in warmer weather!

I loved tent camping on Jay’s land. He truly made an oasis to share with the world. Fabulous food at the tavern and we even got some maple syrup! Bought some firewood there that lit up quickly. Rented a kayak to explore the lake for $30. Then to top it off we celebrated the Solar Eclipse which was incredible, so glad we traveled to totality. All in all, we loved it and hope to return!
