Dale's place was a hidden gem. He was kind and compassionate. The cabin was a great place to take refuge in the storm. We found plenty of wood and made a fire each night. The land was clean and well taken care of. I would stay here, again.

Wonderful hosts and especially very accommodating.
They have a beautiful place with a wide open field to camping. There is water, but you only have out house but that doesn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what I was looking for. Deer come into the field in the morning and I get in the evening
I will definitely be back and especially let my friends know.😀😀👍👍👍

We had a great stay at Hidden Meadow! So nice to be able to camp while visiting our son at Clarkson and be close to everything. Host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely camp here again!

We enjoyed our stay at hidden meadow.
We went on a hike and our puppy loved being able to run around through the woods and the host was lovely. I would go back for sure!

Site 1 - Hidden Meadow Camping
My family and I absolutely loved staying on Dale’s land!! The site was perfect for our pop up and the sites were nice and private. We had the whole meadow to ourselves and loved hiking around the property!! Dale was so kind and already had firewood waiting for us even though we came early. I would completely recommend staying on Dale’s property if you’re in the area. This was our very first Hipcamp stay and we are only camping through Hipcamp from now on!

Dale's property is very pretty. He is very kind. He had a well stocked wood bin and pretty fire circle. We parked behind the house rather than the meadow as there had been a lot of rain. This is a lovely, quiet place but perhaps not attempted right after or during a period of rain.

The kids had a ball exploring the woods and field, tracking animals, building a debris hit shelter, and making a fire! Great spot!

Great spot in a under visited area of the Adirondacks. The field is remote and beautiful. Dale is a great guy and very accommodating providing firewood, water and a restroom. Thanks for a memorable stay! For those interested the road biking in the area is amazing.

We loved staying on Dale's land! We stayed for 3 nights in our tent with our dog. The campsite was well kept with a comfortable tent spot, fire pit, available firewood, and an outhouse. Dale was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The town is also a quick ten minute drive for any supplies. We would definitely camp here again.

This was our first time camping at a private property, or using hipcamp, and would definitely camp at Dale's property again. We camped here for the total eclipse, and Dale was very accommodating. He greeted us when we arrive, showed us out to the campsite and gave us the lay of the land. Super congenial. Our campsite had a table and firepit ready to go for our needs, and the firewood was plentiful. Unlike crowded campgrounds, Dale's place is secluded enough that we could hear an owl at night, and the calls of coyotes in the distance. No signs of pests on though! Thanks for having us, Dale!

This is a nice field with a good view of the sky. It was really quiet, and Dale was very nice. It's close to Clarkson and SUNY Potsdam, and also the Stone Valley trail.

Hidden Meadow Camping
Lovely hidden gem close to everything you would need - even a Walmart is close by. Would especially recommend to those that love to tent camp as that’s what it is best suited for. Hosts were very accommodating and lovely people.

This was my second time at Dale’s spot, can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you’re a morning person. Waking up early to the sun shining into the meadow is the absolute best! Love this spot.

This was my first time booking on Hipcamp and it was quick & easy. Dale's property is lovely and we enjoyed our meadow campsite. The fireflies, frogs and owls were nice to fall asleep to. Dale is a caring and kind host who took the time to show us to our site and explain a few things to us. We appreciated all the firewood provided for us to use for an evening campfire. Potsdam is a cute town to explore too.

We had a great experience staying at Dale’s place. He and his wife are very accommodating. Falling asleep to the sound and frogs and birds is always lovely! We definitely recommend this spot!

This is such a hidden gem! We were looking for a place to stay for a couple nights where we had some space and also cell service to work. This was everything and more! The space is beautiful, the trails are great, and its a close jaunt to town if you need anything. We brought our ~25ft skoolie and had no issues navigating to the space. The fire pit and wood is a huge plus too! Dale was so gracious ensuring we had what we needed - he even dropped us off a few garden veggies! Definitely recommend. Thank you Dale & wife for hosting us!

This place is amazing. Very secluded with access to some trails but only about ten minutes from Potsdam. Dale has a real treasure here, so if you stay here please be kind of his place, pack in/pack out, and leave it better than you found it! Would absolutely love to return :)

Hidden meadows is our favorite spot to go camping. Its so close to our school and truely a hidden gem. The host's property has tons of places to explore and enjoy. Even better, the campsites are always nicely upkept, restrooms clean, chairs and firewood avaliable, and free of trash. Dale and his wife are friendly people who enjoy the outdoors as much as you do. Its a must see place that never disappoints!

Such a joy camping at the Hidden Meadow. Dale was the best host! We got very delayed getting to our campsite and Dale was in constant communication with us the whole time. When we got there, it was dark and very cold. He gave us plenty of firewood and made sure we had light from his shed to set up camp.
The campsite had a great set up. There was a platform to set up our tent (which was SO GREAT, because the night we camped the temperature dropped to the low 30's). The outhouse was a few steps away from the campsite which was really easy to get to on a cold night. It's also one of the cleanest outhouses I've used!
Dale also came out in pouring rain to see us off. We were on a road trip to through New England and he told us places we could stop at. Just the wonderful host and a great place to camp!

This is the best one I have found yet. The host traveled the country with his wife in a van back in the day. He knows how to treat guests coming off the road. He has setup something special at this little meadow hidden in his chunk of forest. I wish it was in a spot I could stop more often. I was able to ride my Harley right up to the spot. Nice firepit, seating, outhouse. This place is a real gem, and the host was as friendly and welcoming as possible. I wish he stayed for a beer. He sets the bar very high for other camps. The maintain their land extremely well and take pride in it, it shows.

This was a truly special experience, so much more than just a place to camp. The setting was beautiful. Very private and remote, but not at all difficult to access. The host, Dale, was such a kind man, and we could tell he really cared and wanted us to have everything we needed to make it a positive experience. He was very knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to chat with him and hear about the history of the land. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I hope the site stays available for future trips. Highly recommended!
