My husband and I purchased our 200 acre property 25 years ago. We fell in love with the magic of the forests here. For most of those years, we ran wilderness summer camps for children and timber frame & earth skill apprenticeships for young adults. We now offer forest retreats! We have several hiking trails, a contemplation trail, a pond with ducks, chickens, a young food forest and lots of herbal and flower gardens. We have fresh water springs that flow down our hill, some that is piped into our home, and another that is on a trail near the cabins for guests to fill their water bottles. We have a total of five cabins and can accommodate up to 22 guests. Our cabins offer beds and most have a desk with chair. Bathrooms and showers are located just a few steps away in Eagle House, our brand new retreat house. This is where guests are served breakfast each morning, which is included, coffee or a hot mug of herbal tea while you enjoy the stunning views of the valley hills and the sweet music of the abundant song birds. Upstairs in Eagle House we have a Forest Sanctuary where you can book healing sessions or a massage. Trista is a certified aromatherapist and offers a variety of healing modalities using both ancient and modern techniques enhanced with Sacred Oils. Massages are offered by Renata Hickey. Hawk Circle is only 15 minutes from Cooperstown, NY, a charming, historical village with many museums, main street shops and cafes, and a beautiful lake where you can rent boats. Cooperstown is best known for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. About Us: Trista is an international tour leader where she guides small groups to sacred sites throughout the world. She is an aromatherapist, herbalist and alchemist, providing healing sessions for our guests through both ancient and modern methods. Ricardo has been a wilderness instructor for over 30 years and timber framer. He built both our cabins and Eagle House with the help of timber frame students and apprentices from all over the world. He offers instruction in timber framing and wilderness skills and crafts. We both love to cook and grow food, and live as sustainably as we can enjoying the magic of our land with our son, Javier.
