The cottage on Dun Roamin Farms pond was the absolutely perfect place to reset and recharge. It was stunningly beautiful, and even more peaceful.

A peaceful retreat
I loved the "homey" feeling you got the moment we got out of the car. The owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. The owner is so welcoming and sweet. There are plentiful hiking trails on property. The cabin and property are very well taken care of. The calm and tranquil property allows for some much needed R&R. We can't wait to go back!!

Perfect weekend getaway! The cabin was spacious, warm and equipped with everything you would need. The location was great, just far enough out of town to be quiet and secluded but close enough to enjoy all that the town has to offer. Would recommend and would stay again!

Awesome little cabin.
What a great little hide-away. It’s the prefect quaint setting for a young family or just two people who want to get away. Close to all the activities of the town of Watkins glen and the wineries/breweries. The host was very accommodating and the farm animals were fun to interact with.

This cabin is awesome! The weather was a bit chilly while we were there but the wood stove kept the cabin warm and the grill meant we could make some awesome meals without a ton of effort. Amazing wildlife sightings too- mink, muskrat, eagle- and a great woodsy property to wander right outside the cabin. The bed is comfy, the propane lights do a great job lighting the space, and porch is perfect for relaxing. A very good combo of rustic and creature comforts.

Quiet retreat
I honestly would love to return to this lovely little cabin as soon as I’m able. The scenery was lovely, even in the dead of winter. We sipped hot coffee on the quiet of the porch while it gently snowed, then returned inside to warm by the furnace and snuggle with our dogs. Even got a chance to take a little hike in the gorgeous woods. Cabin life is real life, everything else is just temporary.

Beautiful piece of Gods Country. The cabin and outhouse were clean and well stocked and the wood stove inside the cabin made it so cozy. Our dog Louie really enjoyed chasing the frogs and swimming in the pond. Did some fishing and walking around the property. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Cabin in the woods
Definitely what you'd expect when you think "Cabin in the woods ". We fished,canoed, swam,roasted marshmallows and cooked in the fire pit. The Cabin was really nice with everything you need. The trails were great on the propert along with the horses,donkeys and all types of chickens etc. Pictures I'm going to share soeaks for itself. Great location to get to the falls.

Fantastic cabin on a farm!
The stay in the Dun Roamin cabin was fantastic. The relaxing feeling of being in a cabin behind a sprawling farm cannot be understated. The cabin was stocked with cutlery, pots, pans, lights, bug spray, and wood. Owner was easy to contact and help was quick when needed. Limited cell service in the cabin was nice to deepen the nature experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Cozy & Quiet Cabin Retreat
The cabin and experience exceeded my expectations! The wood burning stove kept me super warm and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the porch is lovely and you can even float out in the small lake on a raft or kayak. Plenty of utensils/pans for cooking and a camping stove.
The fire pit was great and there were tools there for campfire cooking as well. Plenty of wood to burn and Marie was happy for me to utilize it.
Marie was an excellent host and made me feel very comfortable camping as a solo female. She was very helpful and got me settled in and gave great tips for starting fires.
I enjoyed the view from the cabin so much I really didn’t have too much time to explore, but the rest of the property is beautiful as well! Lots of cute animals!
I would love to return and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy getaway.

Private cabin escape
Really enjoyed my stay here. The view was beautiful, sitting on the porch relaxing, and overall very cozy. The property has trails through the woods you can walk. Was greeted when I got there and given a tour and rundown of everything. I definitely would book again.

Very nice property!
Very private and clean, hosts were super nice and accommodating, very laid back, beautiful property, lots to explore! There was access to water, a nice outhouse, and gas lamps to light the cabin. Fair warning, there is no way to secure the cabin door from the inside. It latches outside. We were fine but are used to having some kind of lock/ latch. I was told by a farm employee that it's very rare to see bears and that none had ever been seen on the property which made us feel better. Over all great experience. I would also suggest maybe bringing some electric lanterns ect. The fire provided light and the owners provided flash lights but the property does get very dark at night. If you plan on using the wood burning stove in the cabin to warm it I'd suggest reading up on it or ask for help. It took us a few tries to get it right but it kept the cabin warm.

Absolutely Perfect
Both the host and the cabin were fantastic! The host was wonderful, she worked with us on an early arrival time and even provided eggs from the farm as well as veggies from the garden. They made the best breakfast. There's a large fire pit to cook over, shower bags, propane stove, and other kitchen and general necessities. Bed was comfy and it seemed like the wood stove world easily great the whole cabin (we didn't need it). The cabin sits right on a beautiful pond with a porch overlooking it. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

Peaceful and spacious getaway
This was an absolutely amazing glamping experience.
Let me start off the review by saying that the photos don’t do this location justice and that my significant other and I will most definitely be returning in the future.
Communication with the host was quick and easy up until the time of our arrival and departure from the campsite. The host, Marie, greeted my boyfriend and I warmly upon our arrival. She showed us the farm while we drove up to the property and from that moment forward we had full privacy. The property itself will take your breath away. If you wake up early enough, you can see the fog roll in from the valley and cover the 1-acre pond making it an absolute dream for those early birds who enjoy a morning stroll. There is also canoes and a little platform on the water which my boyfriend and I sat on while having coffee. There are many frogs surrounding the pond and if you walk along it, you can catch a glimpse of them diving into the pond.
As for the experience itself, it was absolutely magical. The cabin itself is clean, cozy and equipped with kitchenware including percolators, pots and pans and utensils. Marie also surprised us with fresh produce from the farm along with honey and eggs which we cooked on the fire pit. The fire pit is walking distance behind the cabin along with a sitting area, a picnic table, and an abundance of firewood in the fire pit area as well as behind the cabin by the outhouse. The outhouse itself was comfortable enough to use at nighttime. Although the cabin and farm are located near a few state parks, most of our stay comprised of taking walks on the property and relaxing by the fire pit.
We most definitely will be returning!

Short version: Wonderful site, welcoming host, quiet, private, with everything necessary for a lovely stay! Our stay was excellent and we recommend this property wholeheartedly.
Property: There is a cozy cabin nestled in a private area of the land. It's a large 125 acre property. The cabin itself has a large covered porch with comfy chairs that face the 1 acre pond. Also on the porch is a propane 2 burner camp stove along with pots, pans and knives. There is a table with seating for 4. Inside there is room enough for a queen bed, 2 chairs, a picnic table, a wood fired stove and a counter with utensils and kitchen tools. There is hand sanitizer along with other things. The cabin has propane lights. These also will heat the cabin up during good weather. In cold weather there is a woodstove heater. The lights made it warm enough where we slept well at night with one of the windows open. Everything was immaculately clean, both inside and out.
Next to the cabin is a 1 acre pond. There is a small raft that serves as a swim platform along with a swim ladder. Most of the pond is 5ft deep or so, there is a small area that is deeper. We didn't take a dip but it looked inviting! There is also a canoe if you want to try that out on the pond.
Across from the pond is a wooded area with a large fire pit. There is loads of fire wood available and we took advantage of that.
There is a clean outhouse and another small structure for showering. Showers use solar bags. It was our first time using those and it works well for short showers. There were no issues getting water for showering.
This is a large parcel of land and there are trails to walk in wooded areas. You can also walk through some of the farm itself, there are chickens, horses, burros and even guinea fowl (hilarious little creatures that were the stars of the animal show). There is a lot to keep you entertained without having to leave the property. However, Montour Falls, Watkins Glen, Horseheads and Elmira are all within 20 minutes or so along with nice trails and state forests. The southern part of Seneca Lake is right in Watkins Glen.
Host: The hosts had us feeling welcome even before we got there! Communication was outstanding, rarely did we have to wait more than 5 minutes for a response to a text. We were welcomed personally with a small gift of fresh produce from the farm that we ate while we were there. The fire pit was lit while we were on our way. Instructions were clear. We got great suggestions on where to eat in town!
There weren't any deficiencies during our stay, our expectations were exceeded in just about every way. I unreservedly recommend this property.

My wife and i stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. There are plenty of trails to explore but mostly we swam in the pond, and just chilled on the the front porch and enjoyed the view. Marie was on point when we had questions but gave us complete privacy.

Beautiful waterfront camping cabin
What a wonderful spot! We enjoyed 2 nights and would go back without hesitation. The cabin is rustic but homey and completely secluded at the end of the farm drive. Having a camp stove, propane lights, and a queen sized bed in the cabin makes it feel like luxury camping. The camp shower was nice for those hot summer days. Marie was super helpful and communicative. When work kept us from getting there until 10pm, Marie made us a video ahead of time so we would know where to go in the dark. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at this cabin for two nights and absolutely loved it! It’s close to Watkins Glen. The cabin was clean and the view of the pond was so serene and pretty. It’s perfect for people who are looking for private and quiet getaway. The host was very responsive and extremely helpful. We would love to come back some day:)

Easy and relaxing
Absolutely amazing! We booked this cabin at the very last minute after having to change our plans and it far exceeded our expectation. The cabin is clean, very private and comfortable. The host is extremely accommodating and helpful with quick and easy communication. The farm is spectacular with great views and lots of horses! It was a great weekend and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area!
