Val's place offered a perfect weekend for an easy place for me to crash for the weekend. Even when I failed to read all the directions, she was so gracious via messages. Her yard offers all the glorious sounds of nature to allow for a restful night's sleep.

The site itself was nice enough, next to a field with horses. Convenient location for exploring the area and Catskills. However the communication from the host was severely lacking. We pre-ordered fire wood and eggs and expected to find at least the fire wood at our site when we arrived, but it was not there. This would’ve been fine but the host had not explained to us that the firewood was help yourself under a tarp by the house. I messaged them promptly and did not hear until 12:45am which was far too late and we were unable to light a fire that evening. On our first night we arrived around 4:30/5pm and put up our tent, then headed to find somewhere nearby for dinner since we had no firewood to start a fire to cook over. When we returned a few hours later there was another group pitched on our tent site, we were under the impression we were on a private pitch and so were a bit confused by this…there were other pitches across the property that were occupied but it seemed like the host overbooked for Labor Day weekend… There was also what appeared to be long term campers in RV staying on the property, one of which had some dogs which would not stop barking the ENTIRE night. The second night they were actually howling for a good few hours from about 1am. So all in all not a very relaxing or that enjoyable of an experience.

We loved our stay at Val's place. Easy to find, easy communication, nice peaceful camp site and a hot shower and potty. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!

The platform campsite was nice, it's a pretty area. There were other campers nearby but it still felt fairly private. I didn't know where the bathroom/shower was, maybe some signs or written information would be helpful. The shower was too low for me and I'm not a tall person, the whole bathroom shower area felt rickety. The hot water knob came off in my hand. Doors didn't close well, uneven concrete. It was fine but I wouldn't necessarily go back.

Val was very welcoming and warm and the land they own is beautiful! Great place to spent the night if you have something in Albany. We arrived on a cool and rainy day and the platform kept our tent nice and dry. The fire pit on the platform was a really nice thing to have in the evening! The next day we had great coffee and the most delicious breakfast pizza next door at the winery! 10/10! Hope to return again for some time in beautiful upstate.

Cute little spot, emphasis on the "tiny" Tudor! But just enough for what we were looking for. Would recommend adding on the wine tasting! Enjoyed the outdoor shower, even though it was a little chilly in November!

This was a great experience! The site was a listed! We had a platform for our tent and power outlet by our site. Great views, even saw the neighbors horses! The host was very responsive and accommodating.

The land is beautiful! We arrived in dark and had a bit of difficulty discerning exactly where to set up our tents. She has lots of great options for lodging. I would be happy to stay again.

Wonderfully relaxing and terrific

The building and view are so beautiful! We only stayed one night but it was so relaxing and wonderful. The shower was hot and the toilet facility was a terrific reprieve from our portable toilet. We heard horses walk by in the evening and the morning was just fantastic. We stopped by their winery/cidery, where we received top notch hospitality. Thank you!

I camped at the tent site, which is in the middle of a small copse of trees at one corner of the property. The sites are all far enough apart to feel secluded, but convenient to the parking area and bathroom/shower. I woke up to horses grazing across the fence in a neighboring pasture.

The tutor is adorable! We had a short stay so did not use the cookware but it was available. The tutor is tucked into a plot of land behind Val's house and before the yoga building. I have stayed at many hipcamps and this was the first with electricity! It has a sink with running water. It has a cute little couch under the loft bed that was enough space for two people to relax comfortably. It even has AC that worked, which was incredible as it was over 90 degrees out and the tutor would have been really hot otherwise. It was a great reprieve after camping in a storm for a few days prior. It is located on a really pretty vineyard as well although the winery is only open 10-4:00pm so we didn't make it in time. I thought the surrounding area was somewhat random, there are trails but not sure if they have mountain views as I arrived later in the evening so didn't have a chance to really check them out, and they are maybe a 20 min drive away. Two other small groups were camping too in a more public kind of way but the tutor is isolated and has a private little deck. For me it was a little bit overpriced for an area without direct access to the wonders of nature but understandably we were paying for electricity and that much needed luxury of AC! I would come back again.

I stayed for x1 night with a tent as planned during my travels in passing through on my way to VT. The site was adequate for a tent camping site with noticeable road noise. The running water, shower, and toilet were standard for an outdoor arrangement. No yoga classes were scheduled during my time but I did enjoy seeing the created Shala. Very cool! Overall I would say that it is a standard site that served me for my time as I ventured on. - Thank you Val for the opportunity!

Good Karma at Dharma

Dharma Bums Eco Farm has a relaxed, laid back vibe to it. Many tent camping sites to enjoy, large fire pit, hammocks strung up on an old geodesic jungle gym, and facilities: composting toilet and shower area. The TenyTinyTudor will accommodate one person comfortably, or one person & a pet. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze for two people. If in doubt, reach out & contact Val with your questions. Though we did not stay the night-due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control-Val worked with us on refunding our payment.
