Welcome to Chestnut Acres in Cooperstown! Take in a slice of the quiet life. Absorb the serene atmosphere in an emerging young fruit and chestnut orchard. Just under 8 miles from Center Cooperstown, 7 miles from Cooperstown Dreams Park, 5 from Ommegang Brewery. This RV/ camping site, offers septic, water and electric hookup. You will be the sole recreational vehicle on the lot, so enjoy the privacy. Take in the opportunity today to walk, run, or bike on these rolling country hills and explore the beauty of upstate NY. There is now a pull in and out U shaped gravel drive through for your convenience.Chestnut Acre’s RV Site is situated just beyond the mail box at listed address. Turn onto path and you’ll be situated on a flat gravel space. You’ll enjoy approximately 3 acres to yourselves. Please note there is a residential home southwest of the site, that can be seen in the distance. Guests have access to well water spigot, 50 amp electrical, and sewage hook up, right on site. There are no bathroom amenities. Guests will need to be self contained, take trash with them and leave no trace. There are young fruit, nut, and ornamental trees that are planted on site, please enjoy, but do not touch them.

Chestnut Acre’s RV Site is situated just beyond the mail box at listed address. Turn onto path and you’ll be situated on a flat gravel space. You’ll enjoy approximately 3 acres to yourselves. Lovely relaxing spot!

This site is so lovely! We had an amazing time here with our dogs. The sky is vast and we got some great stargazing in. Plenty of space to let the dogs run as well. The here were neighbors but they were not very close and we felt it was very private. The road is close but also not busy at all. I would say less then 10 cars all weekend. And everyone who passed gave a friendly wave! We stopped at ommegang on our way out and it’s maybe ten minutes away which is great if you’re going to a show there! Definitely recommend this spot!

Some challenges but worth it

Large area with hookups and privacy. Absolutely lovely. Host checked up via text to make sure I had everything I needed. I would stay here again. Now for the things to be aware of: if your GPS directs you to take Cooper Road as you get close, do not take it because it's gravel with potholes and low hanging branches; next, the campsite area is like its own lot so if the address/house is on your left then you'll have passed the easily unnoticed drive but if the address/house is on your right then keep going past the house and keep an eye out for the tiny driveway; lastly, when you leave, don't go too slow up the drive to the road because your tires may start spinning (I ended up using 4x4 to pull my small trailer up the incline). Other than the before and after, this is a beautiful place to stay and worth it.

Loved camping in James’s land. It was quiet, private and secluded. Would be perfect for stargazing - but the moon was a bit bright. Convenient to Cooperstown.

Amazingly, quiet piece of property. Flat level spot for our stay. Close to Cooperstown and lots of other activities to enjoy. James was quick to respond to any questions I had. Looking forward to coming back in the future!!

Quiet and peaceful

Amazingly quiet and private property. Close to Cooperstown, some great breweries, restaurants and then some. Such a beautiful piece of property with flat level parking for our small RV. Quiet rural road with not much traffic at all. James was an excellent host, answered all of my questions promptly and gave some great advice about the surrounding area. Would most definitely stay here again if in the area.
