Camp Earth Connection is located in the town of Dryden, NY just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY. Camp Earth Connection offers a relaxing stay with a variety of camping options including Log Cabins, Rustic Cabins and Tent-Sites. Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility, offering guests the opportunity to connect with nature and each other in a serene and beautiful natural setting. The Hammond Hill trail system, which offers hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing connects to the 950 mileFinger Lakes Trail system. Wildlife is abundant in the area. It is common to hear the Coyotes and Owls throughout the day. In addition,Mink, Fishers, Bald Eagles, Turkey Buzzards, Porcupines, Raccoons, Skunks, Wild Turkeys, Ravens, Grouse, Red and Grey Fox and an occasional Black Bear are some of the inhabitants of the local forest. Guests can choose to have some peaceful alone time or be more engaged in our small community during scheduled community campfires, campfire pancake breakfasts or workshops. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Camp Earth Connection offers a Community Saturday Morning Campfire Pancake Breakfast. Camp Earth Connection values Diversity, Acceptance and Community. It is more than just a campground, it is an experience that can be life-changing. Guests enjoy making meaningful connections with hosts, guests, family and friends. In addition they experience the beauty and healing that is provided by this sacred natural environment. White Pine Forest Campsite

Essay was a very friendly host, providing a quick tour of the campground and showing me which spots would be best to set up my tent. The pancake breakfast Saturday morning was delicious and a really great way to meet Eshay and some of the other campers. Everything on the campgrounds was clean and easily accessible, overall I had a great time!

Rabbit Hole Campsite

I thoroughly enjoyed camping here. It was a great experience for my finance and I, it being her first time camping. Having access to a toilet and shower definitely eased her into the overall experience. The land is surround by lush forests and trails. The locals of the nearby town were very friendly and pleasant. Eshay was such a wonderful host and easy to talk to. She explained the guidelines of the camp clearly and was so polite. I would definitely recommend Camp Earth Connection to those who want to experience a calm and relaxing camping experience.

White Pine Rustic Cabin

This is a very peaceful place in the middle of Hammond Hill State Forest (the trail system is directly accessible), close to Dryden and Slaterville Springs, and not far from Ithaca. There's a variety of small cabins widely dispersed around a large, healthy field. The toilets, showers, and sink areas are clean and spacious. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. I stayed three nights, and will be happy to return the next time I come back to visit dear old Cornell.

A very quaint and peaceful area. The host was more than welcoming! The only downside was that the tent camping is on uneven rocky ground, which was a bit uncomfortable. Besides that it was quiet and very enjoyable! Would definitely visit again.

Truly Peaceful!

Red Eft Rustic Cabin

I would highly recommend staying at Camp Earth Connection. If you are looking for a truly peaceful camping experience, you need to make the reservations without hesitation. Eshay and her team were nothing but hospitable. We stayed in The Red EFT and it was just what we needed, a sturdy shelter with a bit of comfort. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the activities pavilion and if we had stayed a bit longer there was plenty of games, art supplies and much more to keep us occupied.. The shower and toilet areas were clean and spacious. Thanks Eshay for a great stay.

Site was beautiful, the amenities were very nice, clean showers and toilets, and everyone was very friendly. Be prepared to lug your things up and down the hill as you cannot drive up to the site. Other than this everything was wonderful!

Great for hiking and birding

Meadow View Rustic Cabin

The cabin is rustic with electricity and WIFI. The best of both worlds! Bathrooms and showers were clean with hot water. Luxury! Hiking trails are directly accessible from the property. The surrounding forest is home to a wide variety of woodland birds that are often heard but seldom seen. Eshay (susan) was a wonderful host.

Had a great stay, weather was not cooperative. Cub cabin was large and bed comfortable, the tin roof is very loud in rain. Bathroom decent and shower has good hot water.

Cool Campsite With A Nice Owner!

Red Eft Rustic Cabin

Eshay runs a lovely, diverse, inclusive camp that is family friendly and also earth-friendly. My adult kid and I had a lovely time sheltering from some pretty heavy rainstorms in our rustic cabin. Just be aware that you are camping in a state forest and you will encounter bugs and possibly small snakes or other wildlife, because you're in NATURE. Don't let that deter you from checking out this lovely camp.

The camp site is really in the woods and felt very much like being in nature. This site has a very rustic feel and not some commercial camping ground. If you are into a little rough, little unkempt and overtaken by nature feel, this is it. Loved the site though had to cut short the trip due to heavy rains. Susan is wonderful and a wee nice person to have around.

Queer Summer Camp from Heaven

Woodland Camping Pods

This was the best camping experience we have ever had! Clean, well maintained cabin with a private fire pit and potable water source next to the cabin, as well as a compost toilet and clean hot water shower on site. We felt safe and affirmed as a queer/trans couple and were delighted to get to know the site owner and other campers. The site is close to some beautiful hiking trails and a short drive away from Ithaca. We will definitely plan to come back soon!

Red Eft Rustic Cabin

This was such a great stay for me. I just wanted to get away from the chaos of every day life and it was the perfect place to sit with myself. Eshey was a wonderful host and was willing to include me in her own gatherings and activities if it meant I felt more welcome. There are plenty of hiking trails and creeks not too far off. Some are across the road, others are a short drive. Everything is kept very clean and concerns are delt with as soon as possible. Eshey, thank you for a wonderful stay and helping my perspective change for the better.

Great cabin stay near Ithica, NY!

Story Time Log Cabin

I absolutely loved staying at the Story Time log cabin! The cabin included all necessary amenities for a great stay. The bed and bunks were very comfortable (it could fit up to 4 people) and linens were warm for the chilly evening. The cabin included a little fridge and microwave, an electric water kettle and heater. There were a couple outlets and the lamp on the desk included usb ports. There is also a fire pit and a bench right in front of the cabin. (and firewood for sale if you forget to pick some up!) Outside of the cabin, there was a great communal area. Spacious and clean showers, bathrooms, dish washing area, and benches. There's even a ping pong table!You can also explore around the camp and find the little lake on the property, and just enjoy the beautiful greenery. I'd love to return with a larger group of friends and book multiple cabins. Since the cabin is near Ithica, NY, you can easily pick up food in town, check out the farmers market, or explore any of the local hikes. There's beautiful waterfall hikes within 30 minutes of the property, and even a state park with additional trails right across the street. Eshay is such a pleasure to meet! Make sure you ask for some local recommendations and ask about the history of the Camp Earth Connection - she truly has a passion and beautiful connection to the camp.

Love Shack: 1 Room Log Cabin

We really love staying at Camp Earth Connection. The cabin was very cozy and big enough to host up to 4 people. Everything was in the right place and very clean. We were lucky that the sky was clear and spent sometime looking at the stats and planets. It was amazing. Susan is very polite, she was always on top of everything, making sure that we understood directions and the facilities. We definitely would consider this place for future vacations.

Susan the host was great. My husband had mixed emotions staying g in a cabin without heat or electricity but he loved it. The cabin was clean and cozy and we built a fire right outside our cabin which made the night. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. The hot shower in the am was perfect. Great stay. Would highly recommend it. We visited our son in Cornell and it was super convenient

Woodland Camping Pods

We loved staying on Eshay's land in the Fox's Den. It is secluded in the forest with a picnic table and nice fire pit. Comfy bed, lovely wooden structure, and bird-song and trees all around. Eshay was warm and hospitable. The showers were hot, the bathrooms sparkling clean, and the pavillion area was full of options for games for kids (ping pong, crayons, chalk, balls etc). The grounds are a mixture of well-kept meadow-lawns, gardens, and uninterrupted forest. Highly recommend and we will be coming back!

Coyotes Den Rustic Cabin

Such a great experience. Our cabin was cozy and spacious, & it was so nice being able to hear the rain and wild life. Showers and bathrooms were better than expected. Wifi didn’t reach our cabin, but we didn’t really need it. Super close to a ton of waterfalls in Ithica. I was so sad to leave and will definitely chose cabins over airbnbs in the future. Google maps directions worked just fine to get there.

Aspen Rustic Cabin

Camp Earth Connection was just what I was looking for. This was my first time booking through HipCamp and it was a great first experience. It's a beautiful place with hiking trails, a pond, garden, etc and was easy to find. Eshay was very nice and informative. The amenities such as bathrooms and showers were clean and seemed to be well-maintained, and there's a common-area pavilion with activities like ping pong which would be great to use in case of rain. It was also really nice to see that this is a place that takes COVID seriously, there's hand sanitizer in the bathrooms and hand washing stations. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again if I find myself in the Ithaca area again!

The cabin was so much bigger than I expected. My boyfriend, dog, and I all had plenty of space. There are 2 beds, so my sweet pup got her own bed. Susan is very nice/welcoming and makes sure you’re set for success. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much!

Coyotes Den Rustic Cabin

Can I say "hidden gem" without breaking the spell? The cleanest campground I've been to, buried in the woods but only 25 minutes from downtown Ithaca. Host/ranger is thoughtful and extremely experienced. Could imagine a writing retreat here!
