We had a wonderful time camping here! The host, Mike, was very friendly and welcoming. We especially loved his dogs – they were so sweet, stayed with us throughout our stay, and even guided us back to our site at night when the road was hard to see. The amenities were great and everything we needed was provided, including firewood, chairs, and a grill. The only thing to note is that we went during Labor Day weekend, so the site was quite packed and there was only one bathroom available. Other than that, everything was good, private, and we would definitely recommend this place!

Only 1 word needed to explain Mike's land and hospitality....Amazing. The place is beautiful and well kept. Big plus that nothing is far away. There's shops, fishing, trails and more nearby while still being deep in nature when in your site. Mike was very welcoming and offered help if ever needed and that was really appreciated. He got 2 beautiful dogs and chickens free roaming at the entrance of his property so make sure to keep ur dogo on leash until you get to your spot, then after that let your dog loose to enjoy leashless activities. My dogo loved the freedom and had enough space to enjoy himself even though he's not so friendly with other dogs. There was still enough space between camp sites that I wasnt that worry about letting him free from time to time. I went on a Thursday and stayed all the way up till sunday and it was definitely worth it. Would recommend Mike and his property to anyone looking for a great place to unwind and escape the noise and big crowds of NYC. Love the place and will definitely come back with a couple of friends next time or if not just me and my dogo again. 5 stars and thank you Mike for being such a great host.

Great site, everything you need including multiple benches around fire ring, Adirondack chairs, bbq even! Mike was super helpful with everything. We had the drive up site which we liked. There are deeper walk-in sites that may be even more remote and quiet, but this fit our needs. Oh and donation-based firewood!

Loved the site. We reserved the Main meadow side which was more than enough for a party of 11 plus 2 dogs. Mike aided with his small tractor to transport our camping equipments to the site since it was a slight walk to the site. Firewood on the site was a huge plus and the bathroom as well.

Such an amazing camp! Six sites to choose from, varying in distance from the indoor bathroom. Unlimited firewood, friendly pups, and brilliant nature. Mike was friendly and accommodating. Each site has a fire pit, chairs, tables, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. Only downside was having to carry all of our things to the site (we had a lot of things) but Mike said he's working on a drive in site. Would highly recommend!

We loved our weekend in the Catskills! No one else was camping the weekend we went, so we had the pick of the campsites and we loved our site. The land is close to town which was so convenient when it was colder at night than expected and we needed to buy a heavier sleeping bag. It was gloomy and rainy a lot of the weekend, so we didn’t get to use the campfire at the site but Mike supplies firewood which would have been awesome if we could have got a fire going. Awesome and private campsites, plus our dog loved exploring and meeting Mike’s very sweet border collies.

We loved tent camping at Blue Wind Nature Camp. Mikes a great host! We chose the further campsite with a clearing surrounded by trees. Beautiful site to wake up in. The indoor shower, toilet and sink was amazing! Highly recommend. Oh! And my 3 boys adored the cats and pups and I loved the chickens.

This was my second time staying at Blue Wind with a large group of friends and we loved it! We got hit with some pretty rainy/muddy weather and still had a great time. Mike provided lots of free firewood and made an effort to keep it dry for us. He was very accommodating and the indoor restroom/hot shower was especially appreciated during the rain. The campsite itself was very private but nearby great stores and hikes.

Beautiful and peaceful piece of land high atop a mountain. Mike was very friendly and helpful and showed us around, took care of trash, and even gave us some fire lighter to use. There was also wood available on a donation basis.
The different locations are spaced pretty far from each other so you really feel like you're alone in nature. Chirping birds and insects all around. Our dog was very happy to roam around off leash. Pitch darkness at night and not a light to be seen, at some of the deeper camp sites. Very wild feeling, but not unsafe.
Depending on the site you choose, it can be a fair walk from the car, bathroom and washing area, but not huge, and there was a wheelbarrow for transporting things. Also you'll need to store your food in your car at night so factor that into your choice of location. There was some muddy patches in certain parts of the paths, but we went in May so there had been some rain. Good shoes are recommended.
The town with supermarket, gas and various other stores (including camping supplies) is less than 5 mins drive down the hill, so very convenient.
Would definitely visit again. :)

This is the perfect camping grounds, there are several camping spots to choose from. The owner is super nice and very helpful. Very relaxing and peaceful. The dogs and cats running around were an AMAZING bonus. 5/5 would recommend.

Awesome hidden gem! It’s not a drive up location so bring a wagon for your stuff the trails are nice Mike is awesome! Great campsites and I like the way he has some close medium distance and far for some more seclusion. Beautiful meditation area that he built himself and a great place for bringing your dog, mine absolutely loved it there.

Awesome location with many different campsites for different size groups. The host Mike had tons of animals (dogs, cats, and chickens) and we got an awesome tour with Dallas the cute young puppy. This site is great for all age groups but will be great for kids!

We loved the chickens and the cats, and it was nice having a real bathroom available. It was also really great having tables and chairs supplied at each site.
I wish it had been made more clear in the listing that you had to walk in to all the sites, we would have packed a bit differently. Also worth noting that the map that'd included in the photos gives the idea there is a bit more to see/do at the site than is really the case.

Mike’s land is beautiful. His sites are quiet, private, and well-organized with hand-built fire circles, handmade benches, picnic tables, grill, firewood stand. He was building a meditation garden while we were there. There are amazing trees on the property. Mike was helpful and kind and gave us good local recommendations. He has firewood by donation and wheelbarrows to cart your stuff in. Hot shower and real bathroom, an outdoor sick and kitchen if you need it.
Each site we saw had multiple tent areas all nicely away from each other. There were only two of us, but we usually camp in small groups, so this was good to see. I suspect we’ll come back with others.
The weather was very hot and humid, but our campsite was 10-15 degrees cooler due to the lovely tree canopy.
Swimming holes, rivers, lakes, parks, and hikes near by. A cute town, Livingston Manor, with a great old fashioned local supermarket, as well as restaurants and shops. Design shops, bookstores, kid’s shop with art & craft supplies, art galleries, retro used shops — good browsing to be had. Two breweries nearby. Some of the town might be called a bit “hickster”-ish, but that is to be expected in the Catskills. (One shop had a baseball hat with that word on it. lol.) There’s something for everyone to like here.
