To be fair, the hosts made sure I knew it'd be a busy weekend, but I was unprepared for just how many people would be there in such a small area. Between the multiple parties and the hundred animals walking around between tents and cars, it wasn't a very restful night. But still worth the price point for the area. If you're looking for a backyard to come on a weekend with some friends and drinks- this is the place for you. If you're looking to have a nice camping experience and are okay with paying a but more to get that, look somewhere else if they tell you it's busy.

What a great campsite, so many places to choose from, beautiful lake view and the animalssss! So sweet and waking up to them in the mornings was such a delight. I went with a handful of friends and we all had such a great experience.

Amazing experience. My girlfriend and I are camping outside our country for the first time. It was great to be in contact with farm animals again, we were missing this activity so much. There are plenty of spaces to pitch your tent and everything is perfect. Many thanks to the owners for being so attentive. Ps: be careful with the cows near your tent hahaha

Lovely hosts that made this special place even more magical! The critters were so friendly and clearly well taken care of with lots of love and attention. Got to meet all sorts of baby animals and Paul & Marilyn shared a map with all of the best activities nearby. Great weekend, would highly recommend.

We loved Beaverwood Farm ! The hosts Paul & Marilyn are such warm wonderful people whom made us feel comfortable and welcome. The farm animals made us laugh and they are so sweet. We fed them some treats (veggies and corn) and they were our best friends. There were a lot of other people which was great because we did not feel alone. We are beginner campers so this is a great place to start. I highly recommend this place because we had a great time. It is very clean and well maintained. The G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time) of the goats :-)

Paul and Marilyn were my ideal hosts, laid back, fun, and totally capable. They welcomed us and gave the lay of the land, then we had privacy to explore and see all the animals! Truly an amazing experience to live beside animals that i can't recommend enough. There's also many amenities for a comfortable stay.

Absolutely incredible place. Paul and Marilyn are extremely cool, chill, and kind. Paul pulls out all the stops to make sure you are getting plenty of animal time. He let us hold baby goats and baby chickens! There were some annoying campers running a generator all day/night but another camper complained and Paul rode over on his ATV to firmly but kindly shut it down which we all appreciated. We will absolutely be coming back as long as we can!

Great stay! Crazy unique experience with the animals. I will say - the animals will get involved with your site. A cow walked into our tent and ripped it… but I guess that is to be expected! Overall, it was very positive. We loved the host and had a great time using the canoes and playing with the animals.

We had a great time camping on the farm! It’s a beautiful spot with lots of cute animals. The owners are very friendly and gave us great recommendations for nearby hikes and swim spots. Will definitely be back!

I toyed with the idea of making this a fan letter to Paul and Marilyn, but decided against it…
Beaverwood is a can’t-miss campsite in the heart of the Catskills with the amazing Paul and Marilyn who are the consummate hosts. My partner and I arrived on Thursday and they were polite, helpful and enthusiastic about us joining them for the long weekend. We knew all about the different animals, the rules of the site and best of all we knew all we needed to know to feel comfortably at home for the duration of our stay.
Camping in these sorts of grounds is a pleasure and we had everything we needed. We even had Paul give us a quick tow out of the mud on day 1! 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 will be back!

Such a great campsite! Lovely lake and forest views walking around the grounds and very well maintained considering all the animals roaming. The hosts are extremely welcoming and present, checking in whenever they see you and offering a baby goat to hold if available lol. Will wake up to roosters crowing and cows munching in your front lawn

First let me say how lovely Paul and Marilyn are- they have enviable energy levels which helps them maintain jovial attitudes while juggling many reservations, folks coming and going, and (no exaggeration) over 100 farm animals! The animals are FUN and there were tons of babies!
The property is a perfect example of turning coal into a diamond. Yes, it’s imperfect due to activities and rubble from days gone by, but the views are stunning, the individual campsites are well cared for and the animals help to make lasting memories.
A note for the guys: be prepared for a little frisky business if their pig “Princess Peach” is in heat! lol She’s gotta be all of 3/400 pounds and she definitely goes after what she wants. It was a hoot (for the women laughing nearby, unsure how to help)! 😂

The ideal. Best thing I’ve found on Hipcamp. Perfect hosts with charisma and courtesy who work hard to keep the place magical, a unique property with more than you can experience in a single stay. So many local attractions but nothing compares to waking up with a friendly cow or goat cruising by your campsite. And it’s really camping, not some glammed up experience. Excellent layout of sites and fire pits. A must visit in NY state.

I loved camping here! Paul and Marilyn are very kind and have a beautiful property and a great camping set up especially for groups. The animals were very friendly and pleasant to be around. We got to see baby goats that one of the mamas had while we were there, they were adorable! We got caught in the rain for a couple of days but we still made it work and the animals made it more worth it, the warm showers definitely helped. I would definitely recommend coming here if you enjoy the farm scenery and I will definitely be back!

It was so lovely to stay at the farm . Marilyn and Paul are very welcoming and kind . The animals are fun and friendly. They will get close ! And would want to mingle.

I had a great time while staying at Paul & Marilyn's. I tent camped for three nights. I ended up staying in the upper camp area with a peek view of the lake. The lower levels have a better view of the lake but I always like being at higher elevation for rain etc. The farm animals were all very friendly. The goats know a sucker when they see one. You have to be careful when preparing food and don't leave your car doors open or you will definitely have a goat friend in your vehicle. There were a few babies which was a bonus. A baby highland cow and two baby goats. I did do a lot of the things on their suggested Google map. I kayaked swan lake, saw a bald eagle, stopped at the park on the water for lunch. I also went to the gorge which was a very cool spot. If you have time and it's warm definitely worth a visit. I also hiked walnut mountain and saw lots of wildlife. Overall a very nice stay, no complaints. Has everything you need if you enjoy rustic camping, animals and seclusion ❤️

First of all, Thank you Marilyn and Paul for being great hosts to so many families who camp here. We were greeted with lots of love surrounded by animals! Even their cat Tom jumped on our car to say hello. I loved the land, the lake looking over and everyone grilling outside camping around us it’s truly amazing. Every morning we were given the opportunity to feed the animals and have our own experience! If you love Farm Life you will love this place. The Animals are gentle and very loving and perfect place to receive relaxation and healing while you’re at it! My partner and I love to go on our boat as well and we were able to do just that. Thanks so much! & hope to come back very soon!!! 😊

Beaverwood farms was a wonderful experience to camp. My boyfriend and I went for memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The animals in the farm are awesome, so friendly and sweet and fun to be around, especially if you've got some treats on you. They had fresh eggs for sale as well which was a nice surprise in the morning, the wood they have for sale is a great deal, you'll have a campfire all day long. Very pretty property, lake views, boats you can take on the lake, and just overall wonderful treatment from the owners. I am planning on coming back for sure this summer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem with Heart (and Farm Animals!)
I can’t say enough great things about this campsite! Not only is it beautifully nestled on an animal farm (which made for an unforgettable and peaceful stay), but the real highlight was the incredible hospitality from the owner, Paul.
From the moment we arrived, Paul made us feel right at home. The farm is full of charm—adorable animals roaming freely, stunning countryside views, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It's the perfect blend of nature and warmth.
But what really stood out was Paul's kindness. My drone managed to get stuck in a tree about 50 feet high (yep, great piloting on my part!), and Paul didn’t hesitate for a second. He brought out his atv, tools, and all the determination in the world to help me get it down. It was no easy feat, but thanks to him, I drove home with my drone—and a great story.
If you’re looking for a campsite that goes beyond the basics, where you’ll meet someone who genuinely cares about your experience, this is the place. Thank you, Paul! Can’t wait to come back.
