Fantastic private campground!
Awesome camp site! Would definitely recommend. Well maintained, lots of wood. Amenities were great - hot showers and cooking facilities made for a luxurious camping experience. Be sure to heed the host’s warnings about ticks and wear lots of insect repellant as we were finding loads of them, but they were very small and the hosts provided helpful equipment for removal if necessary! All part and parcel of camping in the bush. Also super close to a great beach for swimming, quite private but accessible via a short walk from the campsite. Would definitely stay here again.

Enjoy paddock and beach!
Great stay over the ANZAC Day long weekend. Plenty of space here, quiet despite the other sites being booked as well. The way a Hipcamp site should be run - keeping space so all can enjoy peace and quiet. The facilities are basic, as it should be for campers, but practical and clean. Communal area is spacious and well equiped for a group.
Beach nearby, within walking distance. Great views with the occasional kangaroo amongst the sheep.
Plenty of firewood was supplied.
All in all a standout experience with a friendly host. Recommended for sure.

Serenity with a rustic twist!
We absolutely loved Meringo Beach Camp. This is a great camp for relaxing and getting away from the business of life. The camp is set up really well. The only thing you need is lighting for your tent/camper and a way to keep food cold. There is the most divine shower with corrugated walls and a flushing toilet in what can only be described a rustic bush shack. There was even a first aid kit which we used a couple of times. After a fall, I used a bandage to strap my ankle and we made sure that we replaced what we used ready for the next person who needs it. This camp exemplifies the honesty of farm folk. The camp kitchen has access to a wonderful old cooker which we fried bacon and eggs and cooked toast on at the same time (gas supplied). The shelter has ample sitting space, clear shades to stop those southerly winds, gas barbecue and a lovely fire pit to sit in front of as the sun creeps down over the hill. The larger fireplace has seating if you're in a bigger group (bring an axe as the supplied wood is quite large). The sites are displayed, but Will and his Dad are pretty relaxed about where you set yourself up. It was lovely to have a couple of quick visits from the hosts to check everything was going Ok, but our privacy was respected and treasured. Morya is not too far away along with so many places to explore! The track in is a little bumpy so take it gently.
