"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes on the headwaters of the Severn River, home to a number of platypus. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. Please call Bob for directions prior to arriving- 0409 155 147.
We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks.
There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all weather gravel road to the site. The camping site is beside the river with one prepared granite parking area and a number of mown spots for you to select from.
We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit and you can collect yourself for free. There is abundant wildlife, including Platypus and a pleasant track along the river, wandering in among the granite rocks, to a picnic place.

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
Easy to find
Close to Glen Innes and easy to find. Bob, the Caretaker was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. We were lucky to have this place to ourselves as normally it would have three sites in the one large area. Very little water in the creek as it was very dry.

Beautiful and serene
Absolutely loved our stay with our two dogs, cat and family. Bob was awesome and showed us around and had a lovely chat with us with his wonderful dog willow. So serene and beautiful. Bob also dropped more wood to us the second day free of charge which was a massive bonus! Clean drop toilet on site which is well looked after with a water trailer for washing hands. Highly recommend this beautiful camp-site!

Jindalee Bush Camp Site 1
Bob was very accommodating and welcoming showing me to my campsite in the dark after I took a bit of an accidental detour. He was also very thorough with directions to the property which were easy to follow. Firewood was already collected for me and the campground was private as there are only 2 allocated spots available. The grounds were beautiful to walk around and there was plenty of wildlife.
