Goodwood Station is a 3rd generation grazing enterprise in far west NSW. We have 37000ha of rugged outback landscape offering camping at waterholes along our creeks & next to our shearer’s qtrs. We also offer our shearer’s accommodation - see listing Goodwood Stationstay Shearers Quarters. Paroo Darling NP is just next door and this year Peery Lake is filling up! This is the first time in 10 years the lake has had water and has a day use area which is great for a picnic and some mound springs that are definitely worth a look. Our family has a rich history in the White Cliffs area, which in itself has its own stories to tell! We're also part of the Far West Rangeland Rehydration project and we are undertaking erosion control and soil rehydration projects. In 2017 we closed due to enduring drought - dust storms, lack of water and feeding stock every day. We're excited to have reopened in 2020 and look forward to meeting new people here to experience our beautiful slice of Paradise Access is possible for all vehicles. Dogs ok - see rules. Campfires ok in designated fire pits.

Mailbox Waterhole

The directions to the property were very clear and accurate. Louise was friendly and helpful. Our campsite by the water hole was truly delightful.

Mailbox Waterhole

Loved camping by the water hole. Great weather, totally quiet and peaceful. Plus had access to clean toilets and shower. Excellent all round!

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

LOVED it!

What an AMAZING experience to our 3 week, "The Darling River Run" trip. With thanks to Louise and kids for delightful interactions, hot water via Donkey Shower and picturesque camping spot on the creek.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

Wasn’t what I was expecting.

I wouldn’t have called it a “stunning “ Woolshed waterhole. The creek was quite nice and I was equipped to stay off grid so that was ok. But the sheep station was basically a sheep station. I was expecting a bit more interaction with the hosts (as shown on previous reviews) but unless I asked questions, which I did, and I received quality answers I think I would have just got the standard “g’day how’s it goin” I didn’t hear from or see Louise other than my correspondence. When I asked what else is there to around here besides looking at sheep I was told I could go for a walk, look at the bird life or drive to White Cliffs which I did the long dusty drive there and back only to find that I was way too early for most things and other places were shut. So all in all slightly ok but a bit disappointed.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

Lovely stay at watering hole

We really loved our visit to woolshed watering hole and the site was lovely. Felt that we could have been notified that the showers were being used by shearers at the time resulting in limited time frame for use. Aside from that, louise was lovely and we had a great stay.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

This camping spot was a little oasis in the desert. On one side you have a wide open desert landscape. On the other side you have an ecosystem that is thriving with life such as birds, insects, butterflies. Also the facilities at this site are great.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

Highly recommended

Just brilliant. We loved Goodwood - handy location close to White Cliffs, and the campsite itself is secluded, lots of shade and wonderful swimming in the creek. Literally an oasis. The amenities were perfect, just what we needed. The hosts Louise and Zane are warm, friendly and super helpful.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

Beautiful flowers, birds, red earth

The billabong campsite was one of the most beautiful we have stayed at. Nice and private too. Our family spent an idyllic day catching yabbies and swimming in the billabong. Not too far from White Cliffs (as long as the roads are open :-) ). Our stay was unexpectedly extended as it rained closing the roads. We were the only campers on the property for this extended time and Louise kindly let us move closer and use the kitchen facilities in shearers quarters which made the time easier.

Stunning Woolshed Waterhole

I had a great couple of days camping next to the wool sheds. Nice welcome on arrival, very well maintained amenities, new toilet block, hot showers heated by the donkey, info from Lou about where to go for a walk for scenery etc. Great place to stay a couple of days.

Goodwood Quarters camping

I am still here, but it's fantastic. Louise is a friendly and kind host who did everything to make me feel welcome. The amenities are spotless and good, the showers the best after a day of exploring, walking and doing nothing !.
