Our stay here was fantastic! Easy to find, close off the interstate, and much nicer than a state park. Beautiful property, would definitely stop there again if our travels take us that way. We have a small pop-up A-frame camper and had no trouble using it here.

Site 4 - The Golden Rose Ranch
Our camping experience at Golden Rose Ranch was wonderful! We stopped in for 1 night on our way to Sedona in our campervan. It was secluded and very peaceful. The property is beautiful and the hosts are very responsive. We arrived after dark but found our way pretty easily and woke up to the most beautiful sunrise! We loved it so much we’re stopping in again on our way home.

Wonderful Property.
Our family loved this place and look forward to visiting in the future. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The host is wonderful and has great communication. I would caution against going in the rain because the ground can become extremely muddy but other than that it's a perfect place to get away.

Incredible beauty!
Such an incredible setting for pitching camp! Words and photos don't do justice to the natural beauty of this place! Everything was ideal, from communication to arrival and everything in between. We will definitely return anytime we find ourselves in this part of the world.

Site 2 - The Golden Rose Ranch
I enjoyed my 2 night stay very much. I was in campsite #2, which has electric (and water, but I didn't hook up as I brought my own).
The setting, with its red rock cliffs, is spectacular, and #2 features a majestic silver poplar tree. My dog and I hiked around the perimeter and located the (numerous) petroglyphs easily.
Directions and communications were good, and Jessica was attentive. I'd recommend a stay at Golden Rose Ranch!

Site 3 - The Golden Rose Ranch
What an amazing night at the Golden Rose Ranch! This place is magical! We camped at the base of eautiful cross-bedded red sandstone that forms the valley walls contained numerous petroglyphs. We were the only campers and Jessica was very helpful coming out from the house to greet us when we arrived. We camped in a 15 ft travel trailer towed with midsized 2wd pickup. Will definitely be back our next time passing through.

Site 4 - The Golden Rose Ranch
This has to be one of the best properties in the southwest for camping!!
We were on the south side close to a tall rock wall that gives you more shade in the morning. Petroglyphs are on the wall if your adventurous enough to get to them. The north side also has a great spot next to a tall rock wall. The other two spots are in the middle of the property. All of them are well separated. We were all alone in July for our trip. I would definitely come back and only stay here above any of the others. Owner is very nice and helpful even though we never met.

Wonderful place to stay! Secluded with a great place to pitch a tent. Jessica was beyond helpful in getting us there (Go by Harry’s directions, not Google maps). The place is amazing on its own but the petroglyphs were a huge added bonus. So cool! Highly recommend! 10/10

We enjoyed staying on Harry's land; he was very friendly and communicative. We stayed under a huge old European cottonwood tree with fantastic mountain views and visited the farm animals before heading out. A great quiet spot near the highway.

Site 2 - The Golden Rose Ranch
We LOVED this camp! Secluded, friendly hosts, everything we needed for our stay in New Mexico! There were incredible views during the day with petroglyphs on the mountains to explore!! And who doesn’t love a clear view of the Milky Way at night. The sky puts on quite a show when you are away from city lights. Would love to stay here again!!

Beautiful camping experience
We loved tent camping at Harry’s ranch! His land is absolutely beautiful - we got to camp next to a mesa and watch the birds, and red-tailed hawk fly around. Camp site 3 is the site furthest from the house. This was the perfect way to end our trip in New Mexico. It was conveniently located off the highway, just follow the directions provided to you. Highly recommend!

Fabulous hosts of desert views
This property is a gem nestled between red rock outcroppings great for scrambling. Buttes, towers, and stars make for a peaceful and quiet stay after a long day. You won't regret the short drive from I40 and the hospitality of these hosts and their loving animals. Enjoy.

What an incredible campsite!! Harry was very kind and helpful. Our kids loved the petroglyphs & room to explore. We couldn't get over the stunning view, and the serenity while still being very accessible to the highway for continuing on the next day. We would highly recommend!

The ranch is beautiful. It offered a spectacular view of a star filled sky and complete silence for a great night’s rest. The petroglyphs on the property were really cool. We highly recommend a stay if you are in the area.

Had a great time camping at the Golden Rose Ranch. We showed up after dark, which we had no trouble with thanks to Harry’s clear directions, and woke up to a beautiful view and privacy the next morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view and relaxing
Such a unique spot; loved the views, the quiet and the skies. The grounds were easy to navigate and the host helped us find the best spot considering the high winds we were dealing with, he was kind and accommodating. The kids loved playing and trying to “climb” the buttes. Would definitely revisit.

Camping at the Golden Rose Ranch was a great experience. The moment we entered the property we were greeted and we felt at home.
Harry drove us to our very private site. Quiet, secluded, intimate, very safe, surrounded by nature, and such beautiful views of the colorful cliffs and blue skies.A place to relax in, and so close to Albuquerque! In the evening we enjoyed the impressive lunar eclipse. Great location to see beautiful birds including red tail hawks, cliff swallows, small very bright bluebird, owls and more. We drove to BlueWater lake and enjoyed a picnic in a shady spot by the water. We saw many wild horses and herons. This site exceeded our expectations. It is wild and beautiful, perfect for boondocking. What an unforgettable experience. Since we have a small camping trailer, we feel Hipcamp is a great way to relax away from the crowds. Highly recommend The Golden Rose Ranch.

Harry was so sweet and accommodating. I completely misjudged time and we rolled in much later than expected and had to leave early the next morning. Harry was very patient with us and kind. His ranch is absolutely beautiful. The stars at night were 10/10!
