Rugged, natural desert snuggled up against the Organ Mountains. Private & quiet with beautiful views. No amenities! No toilet, water or electricity. Paved road (County road D-087) access just 1 mile north of US-70 and Organ, NM. Property is 10 miles east of Las Cruces, NM & 45 miles west of White Sands National Monument. Great Thai restaurant (Renoo’s) in Organ as well as a US Post Office. Anything else you might need is available with a short drive to Las Cruces. Please, no fires & no shooting of firearms on the property.GORGEOUS Organ Mountain (and Mesilla Valley) views!!! Hike up the ridge on the 18.27 acre property for amazing valley views. This is desert landscape nestled against the mountains; very private, albeit primitive. You will have the property all to yourself as I only allow one group of up to 4 people per night, no matter if it’s a tent or an RV. Very quiet evening, nighttime and weekends (Paved road dead-ends at a rock quarry a couple more miles down the road so there will be trucks traversing the road during business hours Monday through Friday). Property is on the west side of the Organ Mountains in southern NM and is about 10 miles east of Las Cruces, NM, on the north side of Organ, NM. There is an excellent Thai food restaurant named Renoo's and a US Post Office is also available right there in Organ. There's a Walmart/grocery store with just a short run to Las Cruces. White Sands National Monument is only 45 miles east. Paved road access (County Road D-087; road runs north from US-70 and is the easternmost road in Organ). Drive about a mile, over cattle guard and then turn left on short gravel access (look for beige shipping container on your left - that's the place!) The short gravel access road with circular turnaround area is where you can dry camp. No amenities. Please remove your trash.

Not only one of my most cherished Hipcamp spots but one of my absolute favorite spots in the country. My second time overnighting here in the past month. Truly truly special land with a perfect host.

I honestly can’t get this Hipcamp property out of my mind. It is truly everything I could ever hope for in my van travels. Breathtaking spot with a perfect host. I am profoundly grateful and will without question return. Thank you so much, Larry, for sharing this gift with us all!!

This was my first Hipcamp stay! I stayed here by myself and had a great experience. Since it was my first time using Hipcamp I had a lot of questions and Larry always gave quick friendly and helpful responses. The Organ mountains are gorgeous. I loved the views I had from this property, which was easy to find with the directions given in the app. It made for a great affordable sleep on my way to White Sands the following day. Definitely recommend.

Good simple campsite with nice views of the mountains. Easy to get to, but it is pretty close to the road, so not a ton of privacy. Also, as noted in the description, there are large dump trucks traversing the road (even pretty late at night and early in the morning and even on the weekend). Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of if you are looking for something a little quieter.

This is a great spot, and Larry was super communicative! I found it with no issues based on the photos and GPS location. This site has gorgeous views of the organ mountains but is a quick drive to white sands and to Las Cruces. I’d stay here again!
