This cabin sits on a ranch that's been in this breathtaking valley for generations. There are six other amazing cabins spread throughout the 40 acres. We are only 14 miles from Manzano Mountains and about 31 miles from Salinas Pueblo Missions National Park. This particular cabin was once a pig barn and this ranch was once a fully operational ranch that served its owners and community so well. Wide open fields with grass that sways in the gentle breeze, pinon a cedar trees that provide cover to the deer that graze and bed down across the property and some of the most stunning views come together to create an experience that will stick with you an entire lifetime. 4WD is recommended to reach the cabin safely. We purchased this ranch in the winter of 2021 and are just so grateful for the chance to love and care for it...and share it with YOU! Provided there are not fire bans, enjoy snugging up to a warm campfire.

Perfectly Primitive Log Cabin
Perfection
Where do I start...the Perfectly Primitive Cabin #6 was anything but primitive. It WAS perfection. Every detail was thought out, the cabin was soo cute and well decorated. The view during the day is of mountains and sky. It was so quiet I could hear my heartbeat. At night....oh my heavens, literally! I haven't seen that many stars since I was a kid. This cabin has ruined me for all other cabins. I will be back.

Perfectly Primitive Log Cabin
Alicia’s cabins are a dream! I’ve stayed in 2 different ones now and have loved them both. If I’m ever back in this part of New Mexico, I will for sure be stopping by again. The decor, the amenities, the hospitality and the well stocked kitchen are all exceptional.

Perfectly Primitive Log Cabin
The cabin I stayed in was absolutely wonderful. I loved all the little touches, attention to detail and the well stocked kitchen. The views were so peaceful and the location was relaxing. Highly recommend!

COTTAGE CABIN on 40 Acre Ranch
I decided to extend my trip here and Alicia was so helpful in adjusting my dates and working with me on my shifting schedule. Thank you! So great to meet the hosts; I feel I've made lifelong friends:) This cabin is amazing — rustic but refined, tons of character, quiet, comfortable and situated on acreage that is beautiful, with shifting skies and views everywhere you look. I did not want to leave this place. Can't wait to visit again.

The "Perfect" Cabin!
A "perfect" cabin! Everything you need for a restful stay, perfectly appointed and cozy. I've never experienced such quiet. The land, views and beauty of this place are truly special. Thank you Alicia for everything! I've never encountered better hosts and you truly made me feel like I was home away from my home!

Perfectly Primitive Log Cabin
Cabin six is so cute and comfortable! Lovely views and so quiet. I shared the space with a friend who slept on the floor. Best to bring a cot to avoid the critters. Upon arrival I called Alicia. She responded within ten minutes. Very accommodating and gracious. Thank you! I will be back!
