Alia's property was above and beyond our expectations. It was private with 180 degree views! We highly recommend taking the short walk to view the gorge... it will be well worth the 20ish minutes it take to get there.

Excellent location... beautiful views of the Taos mountains and city... got to see the 4th of July fireworks from our campsite!!! Host communicates and accommodates well (Thanks!). Will be back next time we're traveling through the region.

This was an absolutely awesome place to stay right on the west rim of the rio grande gorge host was so accommodating and responsive price fits the atmosphere. Loved staying here, drive down the same road and you can reach the edge of the canyon

If you are looking for a nomadic campsite getaway with beautiful views and complete silence at night, this is perfect for you. We were only there from 7pm - 7am, and it was perfect for a quick spot to set up camp. It is right next to the owner’s property, so you pull up to the gate and can park to the right and set up camp there. Alia was super helpful in directing us, and we had a great time! Would recommend 😊

Alia has a beautiful place to camp. The private trail leads to the west rim of the Rio Grande Gorge as well as the West Rim Trail. We hiked it every day. It's an amazing feature for a campsite!!

Beautiful sunrise and sunset.
Maybe not great for a last minute trip, host was unprepared and confused about the date of booking. I offered to delay arrival until she was ready and the response was a bit rude. She also said her neighbor was watching her dogs and they were roaming free until she got home but I could just show up with my dog after she accepted the reservation request. Didn’t think it was a good idea to show up without the owner there.
Wide open space with neighbors far away but with full view of site.
20 minute walk to the gorge.
Did not feel very welcome or comfortable.
I have Verizon and it dropped down to 2 bars so working late didn’t go as hoped.
You want a little higher clearance for your undercarriage on the final leg of the journey to site.
It’s definitely more reasonable than other options in the area.

Only stayed for a short time, but I was blown away by the view and the walk down to the cliff. The sage bushes filled the air with an amazing smell. I felt so safe the whole time. Would love to come back again with more time on my hands! Alia’s so sweet and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend

This spot is gorgeous! The views are stunning, the site is just as described. You can walk to the gorge (it’s a good walk!) and soak in the sage brush the sunset and the stars. Alia was super easy to communicate, kind and informative. The site is super private and easy to access. Thank you for having us!

We have stayed here twice now and absolutely loved it!!! Alia is very welcoming and kind, and the land is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The light is so magical :) We will be back in the future!

Such a beautiful place! Alia made sure that we were stocked up on fire wood and was very hospitable! Helped us find the campsite and pointed us in the direction of the gorge, a must see!

BEAUTIFUL location right by the rio grande gorge. Wonderful scenery. No amenities (as stated in the description) but there is a rest stop at the rio grande gorge visitor center if you’re desperate for a real toilet!!

The first thing you will notice as you're pulling up to the site is the abundant smell of sage bushes everywhere. It was so pleasant spending the evening in a beautiful piece of land with the stars filling up the sky late into the night. Highly recommend this spot. Easy to get to and just as described.

This is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful campsite in Taos. We went to bed under a starry sky, the air scented with sagebrush. The next morning, we had a lovely stroll from the campsite to the Taos Gorge with views up to the mountains. It was a short but magical stay!

Alia's spot is just as advertised which is refreshing at times on Hipcamp. No amenities other than open space and a fire pit. A great place to be for a sunset.
Also a short walk to the end of the canyon which is a beautiful spot.

No words can properly describe how SPECIAL this property is. We booked with just seeing her photos of the mountains…and boy oh boy was it that and much more. It’s a place I will never forget and hopefully be able to come back to. A piece of heaven on earth. Alia was so kind and thoughtful. Will be talking about it for many years to come.
