The property is owned by the nonprofit Mil Abrazos Community Land Trust, which sprung out of the Gaia Gardens urban farm experiment in Santa Fe (2012-2016). Purchased in the fall of 2017, the property is in it's very early phase of development. Our Mission: To return farmland to the commons and create an attractive model of live-in work environment that can inspire the re-population of farmland, providing affordable home ownership, using regenerative practices for food production and wildlife habitat restoration, and relying on a variety of cottage industries to comfortably sustain a multi-generational community.

    Oasis in the Desert
    Wonderful camp stay! I've been meaning to visit for a couple years and loved walking down to see the river, meeting the friendly dogs, and thinking about the vision of this place. Poki is a great host and if you spend time reading about Mil Abrazos you'll realize there's been a lot of thought, labor, and love put into this place.

    Memories for the books
    Poki was AMAZING! Our whole stay was so comfortable and it was all because of Poki. The land and the space he offers is so so awesome! The three fur babies he has there at the land made it that much more enjoyable! My girls and I will definitely be back with other friends as well!

    Not only was Poki a lovely welcoming host, his puppies were incredibly sweet and there was anything we could want on site. Poki’s home is a gem of New Mexico, and I’m very grateful to have gotten to share it.

    The Bunkhouse
    My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful night at the bunkhouse. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. Poki's 3 dogs were just adorable and we enjoyed taking a walk to the river with them. Poki is a very generous and thoughtful host.

    Mil Abrazos Campground
    Poki was a great host. He came over to show me around and to let me know if I needed anything to just come ask. The campsite was off the beaten pass and very quiet.
