Ute Mountain, Mount Blanca, Mount San Antonio, the largest free standing granite dome on earth, 10,908 ft. 9 acre private property, surrounded by forest. Deer, elk, bear, mountain lion. World class hiking in nearby Latir Wilderness Area, within a few miles of the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, Wild & Scenic Rivers National Monument. Kagyu Mila Guru Stupa, Meditation Temple & labyrinth, 1 mile away. Guided interpretive hikes, laundry, meals can be reserved at extra charge. We offer many amenities & as our campground grows, more will be added. Little River Mountain Camp is in ongoing transformation as it is being restored. Please pardon our projects. The stewards of this land practice regenerative farming, gardening, forest health ancient technology. Your camp host welcomes you, can show you to your campsite, the outhouse & shared areas in the Little River Mountain Camp, explain camp safety guidelines. Many available extras make this a smooth, enjoyable camp experience. There is a common kitchen/cooking area. We limit the number of campsites & campers for sustainability, serenity & privacy, however, guests may encounter other campers at this property. The entire campground may be reserved for your event (workshop, retreat, ceremony, party) Taos County seasonal activities: horseback riding, skiing, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, frisbee golf, golfing, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, hot springs, atv tours, museums, concerts, farmers markets, trade days, Taos Pueblo and casino. Bring your own drinking water or be prepared to boil available water. Fire pit will be lit by Camp Host due to fire safety concerns. Propane grill available when fire ban is in effect. Camp catering available. Camp host on property.

Cedros: A Mountain River Campsite

The Cedros Campsite is a peaceful, mostly flat, soft, somewhat grassy area nestled by cedar trees. Feel the embrace of the forest floor and fall asleep to the beautiful sound of the softly rushing mountain creek nearby. Bask in the powerful energy at the base of some of the highest peaks in the Rockies. The alpine forest begins 100 yards from your campsite. Experience Nature in surround-sound as you gaze upon New Mexico's finest sunsets, followed by the star-filled night skies. The Milky Way is often visible. Watch the sun rise over the Sangre de Cristo Range at the creekside beach with whispering aspens. There is an outhouse near the campsite. Campfire with permission of camp host. Picnic table. Shared creekside beach. Plunge in the icy cold creek, followed by a outdoor solar shower bag. We are low tech here and our aim is to keep it green, using the ancient technology of regenerative practices. 8100 feet elevation; bring appropriate clothing and gear, or ask us if you forgot something essential. In the nearby neighborhood is a labyrinth at the Kagyu Mila stupa, and hiking. The Wild and Scenic National Monument is at the Rio Grande gorge river only 8 miles from the camp. World class hiking, rock climbing, fly fishing/ fishing, rafting, riding, There are places to eat and buy groceries 8 miles south in Questa, and 20 miles to shopping, dining and skiing in Red River. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is about an hour and a half north (Colorado). Concerts, breweries, museums, galleries, farmer's market, skating, skiing, golfing, dancing, movies, music, events about 40 miles south to Taos. NOTE: The camp host lives on site. Many areas are under construction/cleanup; please respect signage for our privacy and yours. Many extras are available to make your stay easier and more enjoyable.

The Oaks

The Oaks is located within about 20 feet of the creek and has two spots for tent camping. It is under some old oaks and has the soft forest floor upon which a large or small tent can be set up. Parking is about 100 feet away on the gravel road. Located about 8 miles north of Questa where there is a grocery store three restaurants. It is about 35 miles south to Taos, 15 miles to Red River. Both of these towns have a lot to offer: skiing, rafting, museums and galleries, music events, festivals in the summer, and much more. The neighborhood in which the campsite is located offers hiking, trails, the Wild and Scenic Rivers National Monument (about 5 miles) with trails and vies of the Rio Grande Gorge. The creek is from snow melt off of the Latir, Venado and Virsylvia peaks, and sits at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, which is part of the Rockies. Pull-thru RV spot at Honey Pot Farm

Site 1 is located at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo range, under Virsylvia, Latir and Venado peaks. Snow-melt mountain creek is about 10O feet from the site, which has a 30 amp outlet. Accomodates 16’ and shorter RV travel trailers. No dumping on site. Seasonal outdoor solar bag shower enclosure with a mountain view. Outhouse on premises, covered outdoor dining area and propane bbq grill, plus cedarwood hot soaking tub available and included in pricing. This is located near the main house for safety purposes. There is firewood available for approved small campfires at night. A deep cold plunge is on the stream near a small grassy “beach” area. A quiet sanctuary at 8100 elevation with occasional wildlife visitation, mountain and valley views, and mountain stream access. There are two 30 amp posts with plugs on the Honey Pot Farm. The sites are for small RV travel trailers 16’ maximum. Turning around can be difficult on the unsaved and rocky road. 4wheel drive is preferred. Please do not drink water without boiling it and cooling it first. Or use a water purifier. There are no dumping or facilities to dump on the Honey Pot Farm. There are places where you can pay to dump a few miles away. We do have non-potable water. Quiet hours are sunset to sunrise. There are hiking trails in the neighborhood up to the Latir Wilderness. There is the nearby Wild and Scenic Rivers and Red River Ski Valley, and Taos is about 40 minutes south. River rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and hunting are some of the reasons people come to northern New Mexico. Located about 15 miles south of the Colorado state line. Owners of pets are 100% responsible for the cleanup of pet waste and safety.
