The Enchanted Circle Campground sits on the Avalon Ranch. It is 161 owned acres surrounded by a state trust lease. We are very proud to have been voted #1 Campground in NM 4 years in a row. We have 8 RV/tent sites to choose from. Campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. Potable water is available as well as a portable toilet. Wi-Fi is available at the office and fishing lake. For cooking, you will have a fire pit, with a small grill. With the grill, you will have tongs, a spatula and a grill brush. A fire extinguisher and a shovel. The property was originally homesteaded in 1893. It was also the first potato farm in NM. It has seven ground-fed springs that run year-round. They converge after filling 4 of our ponds in the marshland where the potatoes were grown. A family of 4 lived in the first dwelling built here, not much larger than a shed. Since that time 2 homes, 1 of which still stands, a barn, a smokehouse, and 4 outbuildings were constructed. There are old wagons and farm equipment from the late 1800s and early 1900's still strewn about the ranch. We are home to Huge herds of Elk, mule deer, turkeys, prairie dogs, eagles, black bears, 9 horses, chickens, pigs, goats, our 3 dogs and 3 cats, and the occasional Mountain Lion. We live here year-round. We love our land and want to share it with others. I am a Veteran and our intent is to eventually have a Veterans Retreat facility here. Not a retreat itself, but rather a location for all of the retreats, nationwide, to be able to utilize, so they can use the funds they have to do what they do best. You are helping to make that possible. We do pride ourselves on minimally impacting our land. We strive to keep it clean and as close to nature as we can. We encourage you to leave it better than you found it, as it is only making it that much better. We encourage you to get out and explore. Trailblaze. Be a pioneer. Go wherever you feel lead. And as always, Veterans, LEOs, and Fire Fighters are always free for one night up to 4 guests.

Site 7 "The Pines"

Private outdoors!

We had a great stay at site 7, it was very secluded and private. We ordered firewood and fresh eggs to our campsite. Definitely a smooth process. Enchanted circle is a beautiful place and we will definitely be back!

Site 6 "Valley View 2"

Will definitely be coming back!

This was one of our favorite campsites. Our campsite was huge, with an established fire ring with benches on three sides facing a beautiful view. Picnic table, grill, grill accessories, and even a hammock. This would be a great place with young kids because it doesn't have the traffic of traditional campgrounds. Just a short drive from Angel Fire town center. We had never been to Angel Fire and are so glad we came. Angle Fire is in such a beautiful setting.

Site 7 "The Pines"

It is Enchanted!

An incredible two nights for me. Beautiful setting with so much distance between sites you don't even know they are there. Great host and caretaker were there to greet and help me if needed. They even checked on my site when a storm blew through while I was out getting dinner. The pictures are beautiful but they don't do it justice. And the hammock in the site description is not a prop. There are two of them there for use as you see fit. See you guys again on my next trip to Angel Fire NM!

Perfect

Beautiful spot, we'll be back! Rustic (must drive to water spigot, outhouse is a bit of a walk from campsite), beautiful, perfect for us.

Site 2 "Star Gazer 2"

Site 2 rooftop tent family of 4

Highly Recommend! We have a rooftop tent and stayed at Site 2. The stars were incredible at night. They have tons of goats, pigs, and chickens which our kids loved going to check out. Giant swing set, volleyball court, horse shoes, and balancing logs. The views are incredible! Very close to many hiking trails. We had a picnic table, two hammocks, fire pit with log seating all the way around, and very close to port-a-potty. Port-a-potties were very clean. The camp host very knowledgeable and helpful! Everyone was very friendly but also didn’t bother you and let you enjoy your stay!

Site 3 The Ridge"

Enchanted Circle is Enchanted!

Enchanted Circle never disappoints. We've camped here numerous times, and each time is a delight. The property is quiet, sites are secluded, and everything is clean (including the porta-potties). We have no complaints at all and drive a bit further just to experience it. We always enjoy visiting the animals - pigs, goats, birds, horses. It really doesn't get much better than this. Landon is a most gracious host and is always working on something to improve the experience.
