Primitive open-air campsite three miles east of the Florida mountains in the Chihuahuan Desert of Luna County New Mexico. Enjoy extraordinary views of nature and solitude at our quiet remote location blessed with very low light pollution for spectacular views of night skies, glorious sunrises and stunning sunsets. Wildlife includes mostly small animals like rabbits, prairie dogs, turtles, lizards, field mice and kangaroo mice. Bigger animals such as deer antelope and the occasional cow. Beware of scorpions, rattlesnakes, coyotes and cougars. This undeveloped parcel of land has no water, power or toilets available. Our lonesome campsite will accommodate a large camp party. Dry campers, RVs, Boondockers, Skoolies, Van dwellers, Tent campers, hikers, bikers, horse riders, off-roaders welcome. Please respect the beauty of nature with no fireworks or trash. Pack-in pack-out policy. The road coming in is very narrow and lined with mesquite bushes. Off-road vehicles are highly recommended, as dirt roads can get soft depending on weather. We are roughly 27 Miles from Deming and 50 Miles to Las Cruces. It is about 16 miles by road to Exit 102 on Interstate 10.Primitive open-air campsite three miles east of the Florida mountains in the Chihuahuan Desert of Luna County New Mexico.
